Will this be a difficult second season for Leicester following the most unlikely title triumph last term?

Those looking to back the Foxes at odds of 5000/1 for another title will simply find 30/1 available this time around, with Claudio Ranieri having lost the services of N’Golo Kante and the Italian has already recruited Nampalys Mendy as a replacement.

Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy are set to remain at the King Power Stadium, with that team spirit still likely to be strong when the squad reunite and attempt to make a decent fist of a title challenge.

Hull were playing Championship football last term, with the Tigers contesting the automatic places until finding themselves in the play-offs. Victories over Derby and then Sheffield Wednesday saw Steve Bruce’s side back into the promised land.

However, Bruce has departed the KC Stadium in a huff and no permanent successor has been installed, with Mike Phelan taking temporary charge which is hardly an ideal situation for the new campaign.

Indeed, this opening clash could be a baptism of fire for a team who might boast lots of experience but saw star man Mohamed Diame leave for Newcastle last week and it’s hard to think of a club who have endured a more miserable pre-season even if results in pre-season have been reasonably good.

However, it was Leicester who enjoyed that winning habit last season and the 11/10 about an away win in this match might look lumpy come the final whistle. Ahmed Musa looks an exciting recruit and the Nigerian can assist Vardy and Mahrez to great success.
