There was jubilation among the Italian squad after a well-executed 2-0 win over Belgium, with Antonio Conte masterminding a superb performance and victory against one of the tournament favourites.

A slightly different challenge rears its head on Friday, although Italy should be too strong for Sweden over ninety minutes, with the Azzurri boasting a solid defence and players who are not as defensive as was suggested.

Perhaps the Belgium game plan played into the hands of Italy although there’s always a chance when you have a back four of Buffon, Bonucci, Barzagli and Chiellini.

Sweden tend to over-rely on Zlatan Ibrahimovic for things to happen and they were fortunate to land a point from their opener against a brave Republic of Ireland side who created the bulk of the chances.

Zlatan won’t get much change out of Chiellini who is almost certain to be the appointed market, with Italy likely to win by the solitary goal and continue to stay on course for Group E domination.
