Liverpool’s season is in free fall. Having missed out on the Champions League spots and an FA Cup final, the team appear disinterested as the campaign draws to a close and this clash at Anfield looks like a banana skin waiting to happen.

OK, so QPR are no great shakes on the road and could be heading out of the Premier League. From their sixteen matches away from Loftus Road, the Hoops have lost thirteen times although recent form is a good deal more encouraging.

A 4-1 win at The Hawthorns inspired confidence and the London side then grabbed a 3-3 draw at Villa Park, with the last two home matches proving a disappointment thanks to a last-minute Chelsea winner followed by a Charlie Austin penalty miss against West Ham.

It’s all or nothing for Rangers and they face a Liverpool side who have also failed to score in either of their past two matches, with Mario Balotelli proving he’s not the answer for the Reds, while Daniel Sturridge is unlikely to play again for the rest of the season.

Liverpool are a ridiculous price considering that they have effectively given up this season and perhaps they are deliberately trying to avoid a Europa League spot which will only involve fielding youngsters across the continent next term.

We’re siding with Rangers on the handicap and feel confident they can get a positive result here, despite the likelihood of the drop.
