Reds way too short to beat French opponents

Jurgen Klopp has seemingly breathed new life into Liverpool although the bottom line is that the German has seen his team enjoy just one win from four matches at Anfield.

We’re sure that ratio of victories will increase as the season wears on, although the Reds have failed to beat Rubin Kazan, Southampton and Crystal Palace at Anfield under the German – not exactly a hat-trick of world-beaters.

The fact that Liverpool have won away to Manchester City, Chelsea and Rubin suggests that perhaps their tactics under Klopp are better suited to away games, with the Merseyside team also drawing at White Hart Lane.

They might well have the beating of Bordeaux on Thursday night but quotes of 4/9 about a home win are surely too short considering that Philippe Coutinho will miss out and it might be that Daniel Sturridge continues to be held back.

Klopp can make a few changes without any problems, with Joe Allen, Jordon Ibe and Christian Benteke likely to be involved. However, Bordeaux are three games unbeaten coming into this match and earned a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture.

The French side drew away to Rubin Kazan and were a whisker away from claiming three points at Sion. They should give a good account of themselves and should at least run their English opponents close.
