After Chelsea’s midweek Champions League implosion, Premier League title rivals Manchester City must smell blood.

With the Blues still likely shell-shocked as they welcome Southampton to Stamford Bridge, Manuel Pellegrini’s men, now five points behind, must take the chance to make up lost ground.

As Man City fans know well, goal difference can prove vital when the title race goes down to the wire. The Citizens need to score three without conceding to go level on goal difference with Chelsea, so Coral are offering excellent odds of 8/5 for the Sky Blues to win to nil.

Sky Bet, meanwhile, have priced the Etihad outfit up at 11/4 to notch up three or more at Turf Moor, where the struggling Clarets have won just one of their past six clashes.

Silky Spain schemer David Silva has often been at the heart of City’s best performances this season, and has been transformed from influential assist artist to regular scorer and game changer.

Silva struck first to breach Burnley’s backline in the reverse earlier this term, and is 13/2 with Bet365 to do so again on enemy soil.

Leading City sharpshooter Sergio Aguero will also be tasked with finding a way past Sky Blues academy products and current Clarets defenders Kieran Trippier and Ben Mee. The electric Argentina attacker is 4/1 with Sky Bet to be on target anytime and torment his hosts.

The blue half of Manchester certainly need a boost before facing Barcelona at the Nou Camp, and Burnley could prove to be the perfect prey after leaking 47 goals in 28 league outings.

City, meanwhile, are the league’s top scorers with a fantastic 59 strikes. Pellegrini possesses an enviable collection of attacking superstars, and can afford to keep the likes of Stevan Jovetic and Wilfried Bony on the bench.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche must dream of having such potent firepower at his disposal. The Clarets coach does have left back Mee, however, who grabbed a vital equaliser against Chelsea.

This makes Mee a cheeky chance at 18/1 with Bet365 to repeat his heroics and strike anytime against his boyhood club.
