Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has made a promising start to life at Loftus Road despite not yet achieving a win in charge of QPR.

Rangers are ensconced in 15th place in the Championship right now, with a New Year’s Day clash against Hull representing a chance for the London side to get 2016 off to a bang.

Only one team have won at Loftus Road this season, although seven of QPR’s twelve home matches have ended all square, including recent clashes against Burnley, Brighton and Huddersfield.

Hasselbaink was furious after Rangers took a late lead against the Terriers only to concede an equaliser, although he’s having to contend without Charlie Austin at the moment after the striker suffered an injury setback.

Hull are third in the Championship table and they’re currently clinging to the coat tails of Middlesbrough and Derby who are threatening to make a break for it.

Steve Bruce has seen his Tigers team lose their last four games on the road and scoring goals seems to be a problem away from the KC Stadium where City have won their past three matches.

The lack of sharp-shooter could come back to haunt Hull although Abel Hernandez might potentially return for this match, with the Uruguayan having notched in the past two home matches.

Even so, the prices don’t reflect the fact that the teams are evenly matched and we’re happy to side with QPR on the handicap market as a result.
