Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney simply loves scoring against Arsenal, and is awesome value at 11/2 with Bet365 to grab the opener in their FA Cup quarter-final clash on Monday.

Red Devils and England talisman Rooney has struck 13 career goals against the Gunners, 11 in United colours. He’s been on target in both of the previous two FA Cup meetings to boot.

Louis van Gaal recently returned Rooney to a striking berth after a lengthy stint of midfield playmkaing duties, and he bagged a brace in United’s previous home outing against Sunderland. He is also a tasty 10/1 with Bet365 for two goals or more once again.

Three of Rooney’s 11 Red Devils strikes against Arsenal have come first, further strengthening claims that he will break the deadlock.

Part of a United attack that contains awesome Argentina international Angel Di Maria, Colombia hitman Radamel Falcao and silky Spain star Juan Mata, Rooney will not lack supply.

He would also like nothing better than to lift the FA Cup as Red Devils skipper. “It is a trophy that, growing up as a youngster, I used to love watching,” Rooney said.

“I was fortunate enough to see Everton lift the FA Cup in 1995 when I was nine years old. It is something which I would love to do and hopefully it can be this year.”

Anytime scorer odds for Rooney are something of a safe punt at 7/4 (again with Bet365), especially as Arsene Wenger’s side have failed to keep clean sheets in any of their last four away games across all competitions.

On those recent trips, the Gunners have shipped six goals, including two against a Championship club in Brighton and Hove Albion. Wenger is clearly experimenting at the back, selecting three different centre half pairings from the start in as many matches.

Back Rooney to take full advantage of that and draw first blood against Arsenal at Old Trafford this Monday night.
