Sweden only really had one bad result during Euro 2016 qualifying and that was a 4-1 reverse at home to Austria.

Aside from that result, the Swedes only lost one other game when finishing third behind the Austrians and Russia, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring no less than eight goals to illustrate that he is still his country’s talisman by a country mile.

However, there are accusations that Sweden are a one-man team and they do look short of quality these days, even if the Paris Saint-Germain front man can be ably assisted by the impressive Erkan Zengin. The Turkish-born player has been a bit of a late developer when it comes to international football but he plundered three goals during qualifying.

Kim Kallstrom remains part of the set-up and there is plenty of international experience in the form of Sebastian Larsson, Mikael Lustig and Andreas Granqvist.

Denmark arrive in Solna hoping to get one over their “big brother” as they are known in that country, with the Danes having finished third in a group of five.

However, that placing doesn’t tell the full story, with Albania profiting from a dubious call by UEFA which enabled them to finish second in the table.

Nicklas Bendtner remains the main man in attack for Denmark, with Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen capable of making things happen in the middle of the park, while Sevilla’s Michael Krohn-Dehli is also a class act.

On paper, the Danes look slightly the better team and they can avoid a defeat against their rivals on Saturday, with Daniel Agger and Simon Kjaer looking like a robust central-defensive partnership.
