There wasn’t much between Poland and Germany during qualifying and it was the same during Group C where both teams landed seven points.

The Poles finished second on goal difference although they are in tremendous nick ahead of beating Northern Ireland and Ukraine, with a goalless draw against Die Mannschaft illustrating that this defence is tough to breach.

With Switzerland having scored just two goals themselves in three games, we should be in for a tight clash and both sides will be desperate to be among the last eight teams in the competition.

Player for player, the Poles are the better side and they have one of Europe’s most formidable strikers in Robert Lewandowski. Indeed, had one of those gilt-edged chances fallen to the Bayern Munich striker against Germany, then they might have enjoyed a maximum haul.

However, Arkadiusz Milik is a great forward and Grzegorz Krychowiak is a wonderful midfielder who can control things in that area, with Poland taken to win the game by a single goal as they have already done on two occasions.
