Tranmere’s 100% record came to an end on Saturday when Rovers were held 1-1 at Southport, although it’s been a solid start to the season for the promotion-chasing Wirral side.

Gary Brabin has recruited well by bringing in Connor Jennings and Andy Cook, with the latter virtually guaranteed goals at this level after being prolific for Barrow last term.

Cook opened the scoring on Saturday and looks set to do the same against a Guiseley side who are likely to be struggling at the wrong end of the table this term.

The Yorkshire side have lost all six of their matches, conceding seventeen goals in the process and they are big outsiders to get anything at Prenton Park.

Indeed, Tranmere should be menacing with Jennings and James Norwood offering a goal threat in addition to Cook, while Nicky Maynard will also be bombing forward in support of the attacking players.

Tranmere have won all three of their matches at Prenton Park so far, beating Eastleigh, Maidstone and Barrow, scoring in two of each of them.

It’s a settled XI who are gunning to get out of the division as champions, with that man Cook starting to warm up nicely and he could be serving up a goal feast in this one.
