Simon Crisford could be chasing a double in the Post Your Winners At bookies.com Handicap (7.45pm) over 7f – depending on whether the strongly fancied Phyllis Maud does her bit in the opener – with his FAINTLY fancied to go well. The four-year-old has clearly had his problems as he’s been restricted to a couple of runs since his juvenile days with Amanda Perrett, who trained him to win a Lingfield maiden by seven lengths.

This season’s belated reappearance, and his first start for his current stable, came in a class 3 at Chelmsford earlier this month and, having made an effort under pressure two furlongs out, he inevitably weakened into sixth as the lack of fitness told. With that run under his belt and in a weaker race, he could leave that form well behind. As mentioned previously, his trainer has a terrific record with his runners on artificial surfaces and his booking of champion jockey elect Silvestre De Sousa shows he means business.

Of the rest, the consistent Buckland Beau should again run his race over a trip that suits, while For Shia And Lula and Light From Mars have shown enough in recent starts to suggest they can get involved.
