Wolves should be no match against a Chelsea side focused on landing a domestic double this season

Antonio Conte has probably never been to Wolverhampton although the gesticulating Italian is likely to enjoy his trip to the Black Country considering that his team are proving so successful this season.

Conte will be respectful about Wolves ahead of this match although he won’t have been too daunted by the Championship side’s 1-0 home defeats against Newcastle and Wigan which leaves them perilously close to the drop zone.

Paul Lambert and his side have some welcome respite in the form of this FA Cup match although working out how to beat Chelsea takes some doing, with Tottenham the only side to have managed this in the past few months.

Burnley served up a decent performance on Sunday when drawing 1-1 and it’s clear that pressing the Premier League leaders and not letting them settle on the ball is a good game plan, although how to sustain that for ninety minutes is another matter.

Conte will probably field his strongest team at Molineux considering that the Blues don’t have another game for a week and that the manager won’t want his first team to get too rusty at this stage of the season.

Perhaps the odd player will get a rest such as Eden Hazard, someone who is precious to the side and gets fouled a lot. However, Willian and Pedro flanking Diego Costa is really not a bad looking attack.

N’Golo Kante will continue snapping at opponents’ heels, with Cesc Fabregas potentially coming into the team and the back five likely to stay the same as Chelsea eye a domestic double.
