Chelsea v Hull City betting tips – Blues will win with a clean sheet

Chelsea will bounce back from their defeat last week

Chelsea will certainly win against Hull City this weekend, and also keep a clean sheet into the bargain.

Newcastle United achieved the unthinkable last weekend and beat Premier League leaders Chelsea at St James’ Park, a result which ended the Blues’ unbeaten run in all competitions this season.

Nevertheless, Chelsea have enjoyed a magnificent start to their season with 36 points from their first 14 matches and there were many who firmly believed that they could emulate the Arsenal invincibles team of 2003/04 and remain unbeaten throughout the entire season. Newcastle United scuppered those plans however thanks to their 2-1 win. The pressure really is off Alan Pardew now!

Jose Mourinho will be confident that his side can return to winning ways in the Premier League quickly following that upset and he will look for a repeat of last night’s Champions League performance which resulted in a 3-1 win for the west London side.

Chelsea will start Saturday’s match as firm favourites across the bookies and we’re extremely confident that they will live up to their 1/5 billing and clinch the three points.

Ok so this price is very unlikely to get anyone excited, least of all us. We’re looking elsewhere to get ourselves some value and as such we’re backing the Blues to win this match without conceding, a win-to-nil Chelsea victory up for grabs at 8/11 with Paddy Power.

Chelsea have managed clean sheets in all but two of their last six outings and they will be confident that they can keep out a Tigers side who have failed to hit the back of the net in all but two of their last seven games in the top flight.

Diego Costa will be back in the ranks this weekend and with eleven goals from his twelve games in the Premier League, he looks good to add to this tally at some point of the match, Bet365 offering 4/7 for him to get his name on the scoresheet.

Didier Drogba has also been in fine fettle in front of goal, scoring three times in his last five outings for the Blues and we feel that he can help fire Mourinho’s side to victory on Saturday.

The best bet for us is definitely a Chelsea win-to-nil however. The Blues possess a strong defence and with a Tigers attack which is pretty toothless, we expect this to be a one-sided exchange.
