What's your favourite sport to bet on?
It has to be football. As a Tranmere Rovers fan, I’m a self-confessed Football League geek, and there’s excellent value to be found from plumbing the depths of the pyramid. There’s always some great angles away from the Premier League.
What's the luckiest win you've ever had?
We might as well talk Wu Yize, winner of the 2026 World Snooker Championship. Mark Allen has the black on his spot to knock out the young Chinese star and misses. The rest, as they say, is history. Few do better than Wu does.
Accumulators (parlays) or singles?
There’s a place for both, but singles are really where punters should have a sharper focus. Be confident with your picks and have a staking plan. It’s not a question of winning big unless you’re in the pub with a few mates.
What's the one gambling myth you're tired of hearing?
House always wins. It doesn’t. House wins when punters make poor decisions or fail to take the best odds. You can find an edge over a bookie if you’re prepared to put the research in.
What music do you listen to?
I love Fontaines DC and Wolf Alice. In the car it will be 6 Music if I’m on my own or a combination of Radio X and Kisstory if my daughter is sitting next to me!
What's the last concert or gig you went to?
I went to see The Prodigy in Birmingham with my daughter. It was pretty wild, and I’ve also got Super Furry Animals and Wolf Alice lined up this summer.
