Pay Attention To Numbers

Matthew knows there is always a way to winning bets if you're willing to put the time in and research the numbers.
Create your own theoretical odds before checking the bookmaker prices. If you’re a good judge, then it’s interesting to see how they compare. Don’t be afraid of betting against short-priced selections if you have good reason to do so.

Gambling Highlights

Sports Betting Highlight
Very fond of the 125/1 Seamus Coleman bet to be top FPL defender many moons ago. The Everton defender got plenty of goals and clean sheets to land a £1,000+ return from a £7 stake. Ladbrokes surprisingly don’t offer those outright markets anymore, but they were good while they lasted.
Casino Highlight
I’m the most boring roulette player ever. My strategy is betting on two of three columns each time and having the majority of the numbers against the field. I did win a poker tournament at my friend’s bucks night in Sydney, although the competition wasn’t too strong that evening.

What's your favourite sport to bet on?

It has to be football. As a Tranmere Rovers fan, I’m a self-confessed Football League geek, and there’s excellent value to be found from plumbing the depths of the pyramid. There’s always some great angles away from the Premier League.
