Mark Fordham Q&A
What's your favourite sport to bet on?
Cricket provides the perfect opportunity to bet on it, no matter the type of punting you like. If you're a pre-match or pre-event bettor, you'll have hundreds of options, whereas if you like in-play betting, the natural breaks in the game make it the easiest to make bets on the fly.
What would you never bet on?
Things I haven't a clue about. It's tempting to just put money on favourites for any types of sport you can think of if you've got money in your account. However, that's a surefire way of losing money quickly. Only bet on things you have knowledge about.
What's the one gambling myth you're tired of hearing?
All online casinos are rigged. And you know what, if you're choosing to play at unlicensed casinos, it probably isn't a myth. But with the hundreds of options across multiple geos at Bookies.com, you'll never have to worry about them being rigged or you not getting any winnings paid out.
What's your favourite slot game?
Gates Of Olympus Super Scatter is one of the great tumble slots, which always make things more interesting. That's because tumble slots replace winning symbols with new symbols thus giving you more chances of winning each spin you take. When you see those four Scatter symbols come up, you know you could be in for a great win. With multipliers adding up, you can see Zeus helping you boost wins by up to 500x in the free spins round.
What's the last book you read?
Clown Town - Mick Herron. It's ninth installment of his brilliant Jackson Lamb series that I can't get enough of. The TV series - Slow Horses - is also great, but not quite as good as the originals in the books.
What podcasts do you listen to?
I'm something of a glutton for comedy podcasts. The first one is Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster, which I have even seen a live show of. I also love the Taskmaster podcast, as well as Three Bean Salad and No Balls: The Cricket Podcast.
