Betting Tip: Scotland #4-0 @ 11/2 with betvictor

It’s a question of when Scotland beat Gibraltar rather than if. Not that it’s any consolation for the Tartan Army who saw their team come from behind against Poland only to draw 2-2, while the Republic of Ireland pulled a rabbit from the hat in Dublin.

Gordon Strachan may well make a few changes to the team for this trip to Faro to face a Gibraltar side who have been pistol-whipped since the group stage began and it does beg the question as to why they should be competing at this level.

Gibraltar have lost all their “home” matches to nil, with matches being played in the Algarve and the Scottish supporters are sure to give the game a home feel.

Poland and Germany both managed to score seven times without reply in this fixture, with the Republic of Ireland managing a more modest four and Georgia scored three times.

Therefore, Scotland should weigh in with a similar haul to the latter and, if pushed, we would probably go for a 4-0 win, with Matt Ritchie looking menacing from set pieces and range as he demonstrated against Poland.

Chris Martin and Leigh Griffiths are both knocking on the door when it comes to getting involved, with the Scots wanting to go out on a high as they look forlornly to their World Cup 2018 campaign and hope this latest setback spurs them on to better things.
