So why are Leicester 19/10 to claim victory on Wednesday night? Arsenal are the only team to have won at the King Power all season, with the Foxes sitting joint-top of the Premier League after a 1-1 draw at Villa Park.

The goals have dried up a little in recent weeks, with Jamie Vardy’s purple patch having faded and Riyad Mahrez has not enjoyed the same impact of earlier in the season when the Algerian was the outstanding player on the pitch.

Even so, we’re talking about a solid defence and Leicester were within a whisker of leaving White Hart Lane with a cup victory before returning there to win in the league last week.

They should be favourites against a Tottenham team that might have put Sunderland to the sword on Saturday but have only won four of their ten away clashes this term.

Mauricio Pochettino has to weigh up his team selection with Saturday’s trip to Selhurst Park in mind and that could see Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Erik Lamela on the bench for this one.

While an FA Cup tilt is clearly sought by both managers, their respective league positions of second and fourth mean we could be in for a long evening as two weakened sides cancel each other out.

Neither team will want extra-time and perhaps Mahrez and Vardy can provide the inspiration to get their team over the line and go four games unbeaten against Tottenham this season.
