Betting Tip: Rep. of Ireland #1-0 @ 22/5 with betvictor

The Republic of Ireland have a wonderful opportunity to reach a qualifying play-off for Euro 2016, although victory is essential against Georgia tonight ahead of a double header against Poland and Germany to round things off.

Scotland stuttered in Tbilisi on Friday night to open the door for their Celtic rivals, with Martin O’Neill’s side now looking to get the job done against a defensive Georgia side which would probably put them four points clear of the Scots with two games remaining.

Georgia have scored only five goals in seven qualifying matches and three of these were against Gibraltar which means that we should expect the Irish to keep a clean sheet although it’s then a question of how many they might score.

Poland managed to beat Georgia 4-0 although all the goals came after the hour mark, with Scotland getting just the one against a defensive side who won’t be giving much away.

The Republic warmed up with a routine 4-0 win in Gibraltar, although a lack of firepower means that a 1-0 win looks to be the best correct score bet. Ireland will be happy to shut up shop once they get their noses in front.
