Swansea City sit eighth in the Premier League table and Garry Monk deserves an enormous amount of credit for a successful campaign. Things began brightly with a win at Old Trafford and Monk has kept the ship steady since then, with the January departure of Wilfried Bony not affecting results greatly.

Monk will have noted that Bony has barely had a kick since signing for Manchester City, although the Swans scored three times at St James’ Park last weekend including a goal from Nelson Oliveira, a striker on loan from Benfica.

Swansea drew their last match at the Liberty Stadium and this one appears to be headed the same way, with Stoke stubborn opposition and never knowingly beaten. They have avoided defeat in ten of their seventeen matches this term, with Mark Hughes’ team generally keeping things tight on the road.

We’re almost tempted to back the 1-1 here but we’ll take the shorter draw price on the basis that this game could easily finish goalless.
