Our Staking Plan and Latest Results

Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently, that’s why we only use the best analysts and tipsters in the UK and Ireland to give their advice on this page. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose.

Tip 1 - 12.05 Lingfield - Steal My Sunshine

Top weight Steal My Sunshine is taken against the favourite Dear Ralphy in this contest. The six-year-old won on seasonal debut at Worcester last month beating nine rivals by three-quarter-of-length on good to soft ground over 2m4f at odds of 7/2 before finishing fourth of 14 at Warwick earlier this month, a race that has seen the third place Stratton Oakmont win at Southwell on Tuesday.

The Dan Skelton-trained Steal My Sunshine drops in class and has adept pilot Tristan Durrell claiming 3lb here, the gelding shouldn’t be inconvenienced by the step up in trip being closely related to course and distance winners, Jully Les Buxy, Whydah Gally and the 135-rated Sam Brown.

Tip 2 - 1.35 Musselburgh - Lone Star (E/W)

The six-year-old Lone Star is two from two at this venue, both victories coming over course and distance, the latest in March this year off a mark of 110 winning an 11-runner handicap hurdle on good to soft ground as the 3/1f.

The Phil Kirby-mare was then deservedly stepped up in class to run in events at Cheltenham and more recently in a Listed mares’ contest at Wetherby earlier this month.

The daughter of Kayf Tara will be more suited by the drop back into a Class 4 contest, where the mare is a win and a couple of place efforts from six starts at this level. Bit more needed but enters calculations.

Tip 3 - 2.00 Taunton - Afadil

The Paul Nicholls-trained Afadil is quickly returned to the track following a dismal effort in the Grade 3 Greatwood hurdle at Cheltenham earlier this month. The four-year-old found things happening a little too fast eventually pulling up before four out on soft ground.

Clearly better than that effort and another below-par run at the same venue in October, the son of Camelot is fitted with first-time cheekpieces for this contest with the yard still in fine form posting a 32% strike rate in the last 14 days, 15 winners from 47 facing the starter, a further nine hitting the frame, a 51% win and place strike rate. Big drop in class for Afadil here and entitled to be in the firing line with a number of conditions in his favour.

Tip 4 - 2.20 Lingfield - Passing Well

The six-year-old Passing Well is taken to upset the strong favourite from the dynamic duo of trainer Venetia Williams and jockey Charlie Deutsch, Heva Rose. The Coastal Path gelding, Passing Well finished second of nine, beaten by four length on seasonal debut at Ascot earlier this month on soft ground at odds of 6/1 on handicap chase debut.

The race at Ascot has seen the fifth placed Cruz Control win a handicap chase at Newcastle earlier this month on good to soft ground. Passing Well runs at a lower level in this contest on her second start in a handicap for a yard who have a 30% strike rate in the last month, 10 winners from 33 facing the starter.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.

For the last month, the selections on the daily horse racing tips page have generated 50.66pts profit at a level 1pt stake per selection. So at £1 per bet that would have returned over £50.66 in profit. At £10 that is a profit of £506.60.

Where Can I Watch the Daily Horse Racing Selections Run?

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch.
