Tip 1 - 2:27 Ludlow - Current Edition
There are three horses at the top of this market that are bang in form, but two of those are running under penalty, so it’s worth looking slightly further down the odds to Current Edition. His career form of F53 doesn’t look to be up to much, but he was right in the mix when falling in a point-to-point last year, then followed that up with two solid runs where he was only let down by the final furlong. A wind operation a couple of months ago should help, and he can defy the odds here.

Tip 4 - 3:57 Ludlow - Your Darling
Your Darling is one of two 11-year-olds in the race, but we don’t go for the former winner of this race. Instead, we’re intrigued by the last two runs from this horse in higher grades over three miles. Went down a neck to The Doyen Chief in January in a Class 2 then was a solid third to what looks a progressive sort in Montregard in a Grade 3. Back down to a Class 3 should provide a much less stern test and could be enough for a win for this lightly raced veteran.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
