Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 12:35 Taunton - Kotari

Since his last spin over hurdles, Kotari’s exploits on the flat have seen him win three times and reach a career-high flat mark of 87 in the middle of the summer. Now returning to hurdles, he gets into this contest off his hurdles mark of just 93. A rating he could make a mockery of, especially considering Freddie Mitchell’s claim takes off a further 5lb.

Tip 2 - 1:17 Newcastle - Urban Road

Urban Road carries a five-pound penalty for his win over course and distance last week, which might be a tad excessive considering the winning margin was just a neck. There are question marks over the market leaders, though. Federated returns from over six months off and has fitness to prove, while Triple Force is up in distance with stamina to prove. Urban Road has his share of weight to carry, but conditions appear optimal for a big run.

Tip 3 - 1:55 Warwick - Springtime Promise e/w

We can’t get away from having a soft spot for this mare on these pages, and we will go to the well once more after a fruitful season last time out. Appeared to be a main protagonist on chase debut last month but took a big drift just before the off suggesting she may have needed the run on seasonal reappearance. Steps up in class quite a bit today in Listed company but won a Grade 2 novices’ hurdle last year. If taking to fences, she could very well outrun her odds.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
