The New Orleans Saints are one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, and heading into the NFL trade deadline on Nov. 4, they are expected to trade several of their veterans. One of those players might be wide receiver Chris Olave. While Olave could sign an extension with the team, a trade is still possible heading into the trade deadline next week.

The Saints have had a terrible season, but Olave is only 25 and he still has many years left in the league as a top WR. The Saints are more likely to sign Olave to a long-term extension rather than trade him. But they have to at least take phone calls and listen to offers if other teams call.

Pittsburgh Steelers (+500)

The Steelers have DK Metcalf atop the team’s WR depth chart, but after that, things are thin for the team. Picking up someone like Olave would help QB Aaron Rodgers have another top receiver to throw the ball to as the team looks to win the AFC North and make the playoffs.

New England Patriots (+675)

Drake Maye is one of the top young quarterbacks in the NFL, and a big reason why the team is likely to make it back to the postseason this year. While the Patriots have several solid wide receivers, picking up someone like Olave would give Maye yet another weapon for the offense as they aim for the playoffs. Houston Texans (+900)

The Giants entered the season with young WR Malik Nabers atop the team’s receiving depth chart, but he is out for the season with a torn ACL. Nabers might return in 2026, but it will likely take him some time to get up to par, so picking up someone like Olave would help the Giants shore up their depth at the position.

San Francisco 49ers (+1500)

The 49ers have a good opportunity to make the playoffs this season despite trading star WR Deebo Samuel to the Washington Commanders during the offseason. With WR a potential position to improve, look for the 49ers to call the Saints and inquire about Olave’s availability.

The Field (+1000)

With many teams in the market for a wide receiver, look for the field to be in the hunt to try obtaining Olave, who has 52 catches for 503 yards and three touchdowns in eight games this season in New Orleans.
