DJ Uiagalelei Next School Odds: ACC Schools Emerging As Top Suitors
Promo Code: BOOKIESBG150
It seems like a lifetime ago that D.J. Uiagalelei was the young hot shot out of Clemson, who threw for 439 yards and two touchdowns in his first career start as a true freshman while filling in for the injured Trevor Lawrence.
Now, having left Clemson to start at Oregon State in 2023, the junior signal-caller will continue his long journey at a third destination after Beavers coach Jonathan Smith left to become the head coach at Michigan State.
Uiagalelei will consider testing the NFL Draft waters, but it’s more likely he will find a team in need of an established quarterback for one more year on the college gridiron. Take this into account for your future college football picks.

DJ Uiagalelei Potential Landing Spots
Uiagalelei has come close to reaching his potential at times, but he’s always seemed one or two pieces away from making it all work. Perhaps he’ll find it in 2024 after a solid season in Corvallis, where the 6-foot-4, 252-pound signal-caller passed for 2,638 yards and 21 touchdowns.
Uiagalelei might have the opportunity to join up with his brother, Mataylo Uiagalelei, a four-star prospect out of the 2023 class who plays defensive end for Oregon.
The problem is the Ducks will likely have their pick of transfer QBs given the season they just had with senior Bo Nix at the helm. We don’t know if Uiagalelei is their No. option.
We see Miami as the most likely destination. Offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson helped lead a top-25 offense in 2023 and the Hurricanes could be positioned for a big leap next season with an established guy like Uiagalelei under center.
There’s also a need for other potential suitors like Florida State, Auburn, USC, Kentucky, and Duke, who are looking to replace transfer QBs of their own. But Miami would make a whole lot of sense for several reasons, and it could be a big win-win for a player and program looking to take the next step.
