Regular-season win total betting markets are on the board for the 2019 college football season as FanDuel is the first to the market to bring us these juicy college football betting over/under lines.

These season-long props are one of the most popular bets to evaluate in the offseason and now we have numbers on every College Football Bowl Subdivision team except for Rutgers – which FanDuel cannot offer in New Jersey.

Clemson, Alabama Georgia Have Highest Numbers

It’s no surprise that the 2018-19 national champion Clemson Tigers and runnerup Alabama Crimson Tide have the biggest numbers on the board at 11.5 and 11 wins, respectively. After all, both went undefeated in the 2018 regular season, crushing their opponents by some significant margins. Alabama won its 12 games by a margin of 588-165 while Clemson outscored its regular-season foes 548-168.

Of course, with college football futures betting numbers so high, it means that Clemson has to be perfect again for bettors to win the “over” side of the bet. The same goes for Alabama, though in that case bets will push if the Crimson Tide win exactly 11 games.

As for the Georgia Bulldogs, they also face a regular-season win total of 11 but the juice heavily favors the under at -154 whereas Alabama is juiced to the over at -130. The Bulldogs have won 11 games in each of the past two seasons.

Ohio State Expected To Outperform Michigan … Again

Everyone keeps waiting for that Michigan Wolverines breakout under Jim Harbaugh but the oddsmakers at FanDuel don’t project the Maize and Blue doing better than their key rival in 2019. The Wolverines are faced with an over/under total of 9.5 games with the juice heavily on the over at -168. As for the Buckeyes, they’re a full game higher at 10.5, though the juice is -130 on the under.

There are going to be some vociferous chants for change if Harbaugh can’t get his Wolverines squad back into the realm of the elite. They’ve consistently failed against rivals and elite teams. Last year’s 62-39 beatdown at the hands of Ohio State still stings.

But Harbaugh and company might have an opening this year. The defending Big Ten and Rose Bowl champion Buckeyes replaced head coach Urban Meyer, who retired, with Ryan Day, plus record-setting quarterback Dwayne Haskins is now with the Washington Redskins of the NFL.

Pac-12 Viewed Poorly in Odds

The Pac-12 has fallen down the rankings among power conferences and the oddsmakers at FanDuel don’t expect much to change in 2019. Washington and Oregon are expected to be contenders for the College Football Playoff, but they have relatively low numbers compared to the premier teams in other top conferences.

The Huskies have an over/under win total of 9.5 and Oregon – which boasts Justin Herbert, who is the presumptive top quarterback to be selected in the 2020 NFL Draft – have a win total of just 9 games. Once-vaunted USC have a prop of a measly 6.5 wins, suggesting that even qualifying for bowl season – which the Trojans failed to do in 2018 – could be a challenge.

UTSA Projected For Fewest Wins

At the other end of the spectrum, the UTSA Roadrunners, who were 3-9 last season, are expected to finish with the fewest wins this year according to the FanDuel lines with an over/under total of just 2 wins. The Rice Owls, also of Conference USA, are in the same range at 2.5 wins; they earned their second win on the last day of the 2018 season.

The Connecticut Huskies are also at 2.5 wins in what is widely expected to be their last year in the American Athletic Conference. Oregon State, South Alabama and San Jose State are the only other teams with a win total of 2.5. The line for UTEP, Bowling Green and Illinois is 3 wins.
