Fox Bet has agreed to a multiyear deal with MLB as an authorized gaming operator.

It’s the fourth such partnership for MLB, joining similar agreements with FanDuel, DraftKings and MGM Resorts. The company, which includes the Fox Bet mobile app and free nationwide game Fox Sports Super 6, now has access to MLB’s official data feed and can use team logos.

The deal was announced in a Wednesday press release.

Fox Bet Gets Official MLB Data

“Adding The Stars Group and Fox Bet to our authorized gaming operator program continues our vision for ensuring we are serving fans with opportunity and choice,” MLB Executive Vice President of Gaming Kenny Gersh said in the release. “Our official data feed, including real time and reliable game statistics, and league marks will enable The Stars Group to build unique and engaging gaming products around our sport.”

The data feed is key for in-game betting, with up-to-date analytics and stats available on live MLB betting.

All four major professional sports leagues have partnered with official operators since the Supreme Court’s 2018 decision to legalize sports gambling in the United States. This year, Fox became the first major American media company to launch a sports betting platform.

Fox Sports and The Stars Group announced the partnership in May. Fox Sports payed roughly $236 million for a little less than 5% of The Stars Group, a parent company of PokerStars, BetStars and a host of additional brands.

Fox Bet Mobile in New Jersey, Pennsylvania

Fox Bet launched its mobile app in New Jersey and Pennsylvania last month and includes contributions from on-air personalities like Cris Carter, “Cousin Sal” Iacono, Colin Cowherd and Charissa Thompson. Fox Sports is a long-time MLB media rights-holder and is currently in a seven-year deal worth more than $5 billion through 2028.

“We continue to see a great appetite for the Fox Bet app as well as Fox Sports Super 6,” Fox Bet CEO Robin Chhabra said. “Having a partnership with MLB enables us to use official MLB data and league marks, providing a better experience for our customers and comes just in time as the League Championship Series and the World Series kick into high gear.”
