With just over a week to go until the NBA’s trade deadline, it’s high season for general managers to take stock of where their respective teams stand in the league table, with cellar dwellers like the 12-35 Sacramento Kings potentially swinging the market at large across NBA betting apps

One such Sacramento player that could get dealt is center Domantas Sabonis, who is the potentially the biggest of all big men on the market. With that in mind, the team at Bookies.com broke down where the 10th year veteran could go next, with no shortage suitors for the 29-year-old Oregonian this season.

Domantas Sabonis Next Team Odds (Jan. 2026)

Who Lands Sabonis?

Given Sabonis’ cap hit that’s north of $94 million over the next two seasons, it could be easier said than done for Kings general manager Scott Perry to make a move for Sabonis happen ahead of the NBA’s Feb. 5 deadline.

Sabonis hasn’t gone out of his way to help Perry, either, with year-over-year declines in points scored (15.8, from 19.1), rebounds (11.4, from 13.9) and field goal percentage (54.1%, from 59.0%).

Still, there’s still a lot about Sabonis’ game to love, with the veteran forward making three NBA All-Star teams and being an MVP finalist in 2022-23 and 2023-24 with the Kings, after starting his career with the Indiana Pacers.

That productivity is part of the reason why we’re giving Sabonis +700 odds of going to the Toronto Raptors in a trade, with the Phoenix Suns (+1000), Chicago Bulls (+1400), Washington Wizards (+1600) and Golden State Warriors (+1800) being the other NBA teams that we see being in on the veteran center out of Gonzaga this trade season.

What To Know About Sabonis

The 11th overall pick out of the Spokane basketball hotspot known as Gonzaga made two All-Star teams and finished second in the Sixth Man of the Year running with the Pacers during his four-year run with the club from 2017-18 through 2021-22.

Unfortunately for him, Sabonis was the key return that came back to Sacramento in the deal that wound up landing Indiana superstar guard Tyrese Haliburton, which has been a one-sided deal for all involved.

That 2022 trade landed the Pacers Haliburton, as well as Buddy Hield and Tristan Thompson, while Sacramento got Sabonis, as well as Justin Holiday and Jeremy Lamb — with the former Sacramento guard playing a key role in the Pacers’ run to the NBA Finals in 2025.

Still, Sabonis has performed admirably during his 262-game run with the Kings, upping his points per game from 16.3 with Indiana to 19.0 with Sacramento, while his total rebounds have gone from 10.5 per game to 13.1 in California’s capital city.

As the NBA approaches its annual deadline day, though, it seems like another trade might be in store for the 10th year veteran center, with Sabonis hoping to avoid being the butt of jokes the way he was the last time around.
