The NFC West title and more are on the line when Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks play host to Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football for the final game of the 2019 NFL regular season.

The 49ers (12-3) and Seahawks (11-4) could earn as high as the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC playoffs. The loser could be playing on the road in the first round.

PICK 1: 49ers -3

The Seahawks simply haven’t looked impressive lately, losing two of their last three by 14 points or more, with the lone win by six points to hapless Carolina. Now the NFL’s third-ranked run offense is in dire straits with the loss of Chris Carson and C.J. Prosise. Rashaad Penny was already out. Marshawn Lynch is better than the alternatives, but stepping right in and doing what Carson’s been doing is asking a lot.

The Niners’ top-ranked pass defense can focus more on Wilson. San Francisco’s offense, which has scored at least 34 points in four of its last six games, should find success against a banged-up and generally porous Seattle D.

Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett, who has 76 catches for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns this season, will face a 49ers defense that allowed him to catch just three passes for 26 yards in Week 10.

PICK 2: Under 47 Points

The Over is 6-2 in the last eight meetings between these teams, but Seattle may have issues scoring without its top three running backs and against the No. 1 pass defense in the league. The Seahawks have allowed no fewer than 24 points in any of the last four games, but both teams need to pitch in to reach this total.

PICK 3: Highest-Scoring Quarter — Second

It’s already one of the big-scoring quarters for both sides. In December it’s really jumped for San Francisco in terms of scoring and for both teams in terms of an inability to stop the opposition. The Niners are averaging 17.3 ppg in the second quarter of their last three games, while these teams have combined to allow 23 ppg in the second.

PICK 4: First Half — 49ers -2.5

Expect the Seahawks to attempt to establish the run game — it’s who they’ve been all year. Expect it to fail. The Niners can build a lead in the first half before Pete Carroll abandons the rush and airs it out with Wilson.

Rookie defensive end Nick Bosa, the No. 2 overall pick, has nine sacks this season. He was named a starter for the NFC in the Pro Bowl.

PICK 5: Halftime/Fulltime — 49ers/49ers

The Seahawks have won 11 games, but 10 of them have been by seven points or less. They’re so banged up on both sides of the ball, it’s going to be tough to hang with a healthy and determined 49ers team for a full game. San Francisco can build a lead and pull away.
