The Grey Cup is up for grabs on Sunday as the Montreal Alouettes take on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Both names are already on the Canadian Football League trophy with Winnipeg looking to win it for a 13th time, while the Alouettes have won it seven times in the past.

It's the final game of the CFL season, and Canadian betting sites will be tuning in for the country's version of the NFL's Super Bowl. Jeff Garcia, Doug Flutie & Warren Moon all won the Grey Cup before going on to enjoy successful careers in the NFL, so there will be interest across the border in this game too.

NFL betting sites won't want to miss out on this game, which will be played at Hamilton's Tim Hortons Field on Sunday. Football fans in Ontario, Alberta and other provinces across Canada will be watching this game very closely.

Grey Cup Preview

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers enter Sunday's Grey Cup as overwhelming favourites to win their 13th title. Head coach Mike O'Shea is hoping to guide the Bombers to their third Grey Cup win in four.

O'Shea has a great Grey Cup record, winning it three times as a player and twice as a head coach. His side ended the regular season with a 14-4 record, while the Alouettes lost seven of their 18 games. This will be the third meeting between the two teams this season, and it would be a great time for Montreal to get their first win.

The Bombers won 17-3 in the first matchup, before cruising to a 47-17 win in August. Montreal's offense has failed to score a point in both games with their touchdowns in the second game coming from pick-sixes. Can the Grey Cup bring the best out of Montreal this time?

Grey Cup Tips

If recent history is any indicator, Winnipeg should be celebrating their 13th Grey Cup. It is worth noting that Montreal beat the Bombers in 2022 in overtime with a field goal, when regulation time ended 17-17.

But this year, Winnipeg has been too strong for the Alouettes. Quarterback Zach Collaros leads the Bombers offense, and he will be the first signal-caller to start four consecutive Grey Cups. His experience of handling the big occasion will be crucial, and in Brady Oliveira, he has arguably the best running-back in the CFL to hand the ball off to.

Oliveira rushed for career highs in touchdowns (13) and rushing yards (1,534) this season, and he will want to end the season with another big game. But he and Collaros will face a Montreal team that forced nine turnovers in their 38-17 win over the Toronto Argonauts to book their place in the Grey Cup.

It promises to be an entertaining finale to the CFL season and Canada betting sites have plenty of markets for bettors to choose from. We expect the Bombers to continue their winning streak over Montreal. bet365 has odds of 4/1 (+400) are available for a Winnipeg win by between 13 and 18 points and 13/2 (+650) for the Bombers to win by between 19 to 24 points.
