Breakdown – Shortest and Tallest NBA Teams

The Warriors closed last season with a 23-9 run after acquiring Jimmy Butler in February. Curry and Butler led the Warriors as the No. 7 seed to the Western Conference Semifinals. Curry strained his hamstring in that series loss to Minnesota. Both stars are expected to be at 100%, or as close as they can be to 100% at age 36 (Butler) and 37 (Curry), respectively. Look for 6-4, do-it-all shooting guard Brandin Podziemski to continue his role as a spark plug on both ends of the court.

The 6-2 Curry and 6-7 Butler give Golden State a potent 1-2 offensive punch. The Warriors are looking to add some size in the frontcourt and could well add 6-9 free-agent Al Horford, who last played for the Celtics.

The Atlanta Hawks stand above the other 29 NBA franchises in our list of the shortest and tallest NBA teams.

The Hawks also stand out as having make four straight appearances in the NBA play-in tournament. The team has failed to get out of the play-in round during the past 2 seasons.

One big boost for the Hawks, in terms of both height and potential points, is Kristaps Porzingis. The Hawks acquired the 7-2 power forward/center from Boston in the offseason. While Trae Young carries the offense in terms of points and assists, 6-7 Dyson Daniels anchors the Hawks’ defense.
