WynnBET Secures West Virginia Access for Sports Betting, Casino

It’s now just a matter of time until WynnBET Sportsbook starts taking sports bets in West Virginia.

On Tuesday, WynnBET announced a partnership with Delaware North in order to gain market access to West Virginia for both sportsbook and casino operations. Delaware North owns and operates a pair of West Virginian casinos — Wheeling Island Hotel Casino Racetrack in Wheeling and Mardi Gras Casino & Resort near Charleston — and both of those operate retail sportsbooks.

Moving into the West Virginia sports betting market means WynnBET will be adding an 18th state to its surging jurisdiction in the U.S. Not all of its current states have sportsbook access, but the legislative and regulatory climate of sports betting is changing rapidly.

For now, WynnBET sportsbook operates in Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Tennessee and Virginia. Based on current negotiations and legislative processing that’s taking place elsewhere, the company is working toward a coverage footprint that accounts for 77% of the U.S. population.

West Virginia bettors are likely familiar with WynnBET if they’ve traveled across the border and wagered on Virginia sports betting sites.

It joins a growing West Virginia casino space as well. Be sure to bookmark our WynnBET promo codes for the latest news.

More About WynnBET

West Virginia was one of the earliest adopters of sports betting and betting apps. In 2018, it became the fifth state to legalize the practice, and for now five retail sportsbooks (plus online betting sites) exist. That includes operations run by FanDuel, DraftKings, BetRivers and Caesars. Anyone 21 and up can enter a retail casino or sportsbook in West Virginia and place a sports.

WynnBET is a productive of Wynn Interactive, the online gaming division of Wynn Resorts. Its sportsbook currently operates largely as a mobile app, as well as a website in select states (New Jersey, where it’s headquartered, and Michigan). It seeks to be the go-to mobile experience for sports bettors, offering a sizable risk-free bet bonus and interesting promotions that exist for a wide range of sports.

WynnBET is an emerging brand in sports betting, and it’s an approved sportsbook operator of the NFL. It’s also an authorized gaming operator of MLB, NBA and NASCAR, as well as a marketing partner for several NFL, MLB and NBA teams.
