The Dallas Cowboys play host to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football, a matchup between 3-3 teams with the winner getting a head up in the floundering NFC East. Dallas has covered the spread in all three wins while failing to do so in the losses. The Eagles are 2-4 ATS, and the favorite has covered six of the last seven matchups between the rivals.

Let’s take a look at some of the best bets fans of NFL betting should consider:

PICK 1: Cowboys -3

The Cowboys show up against the rest of the NFC East, on a strong 10-1 run against the spread against divisional foes. Dak Prescott has a 109.1 QB rating at home (fifth-best in the NFL), while the Eagles have allowed a 111.6 QB rating on the road (third-highest).

There is a risk with the amount of injuries for Dallas, especially at offensive line and receiver. But this is such a huge game for the Cowboys, if they can put on their pads, they’ll be out there. This game is worth grabbing at -3 or lower.

PICK 2: Under 49

5 Eagles-Cowboys Prop Bets & Betting Lines to Back on SNF 1
Dak Prescott will have to deal with injuries to his offensive line and at wide receiver when he faces the Eagles Sunday night.

Sunday Night Football has been a spot where offenses go to die. The highest-scoring SNF fame this season totaled 44 points – a 24-20 Falcons win over these Eagles in Week 3. No SNF game this season has hit Over.

The Over is 4-2 in Cowboys and Eagles games. But the last time these teams played a game that totaled over 49 points that didn’t end in overtime was 2014. But both teams have injury issues at receiver, which should limit the likelihood of big plays. And both are solid against the run – the Eagles rank No. 2 in the NFL against it.

PICK 3: Cowboys ML & Under

It’s not a stretch to say the Cowboys’ playoff hopes are in dire need of a Sunday night win. Injuries are a concern but taking the home team to win straight-up in a meeting of fairly even-matched teams isn’t a stretch. With the expectation of a lower-scoring slugfest, parlaying the two outcomes into a bigger payoff works.

PICK 4: Highest-Scoring Quarter – Second Quarter

The Eagles and Cowboys have been slow out of the gates. The second quarter, however, is the Eagles’ highest-scoring frame. It’s only the third-highest for the Cowboys, who have typically been asleep the first 30 minutes before picking up play after the break.

That said, defensively the second quarter is by far the worst of any 15 minutes for both teams. Opponents are scoring a combined 15.5 ppg against them in the second. With the Cowboys putting an emphasis on starting stronger, the data tells us the second quarter looks to be when that might occur.

Eagles rookie running back Miles Sanders has more yards receiving than rushing this season.

PICK 5: First Half/Final Result – Cowboys/Cowboys

Only once in the 12 games these teams have combined to play has a team losing at halftime rallied to win the game. The Eagles trailed the Redskins 20-7 in Week 1 but emerged victorious 32-28. So, whichever team is leading at halftime is a strong bet to hold on.

The Cowboys have lost three in a row because they haven’t come out well at all. Over those three games, they’ve managed just nine points while allowing 47. That has to be the primary focus going into Sunday night.
