Cooper Kupp’s Next Team Analysis
Kupp was a pivotal player during the Rams Super Bowl 56 season. He was Offensive Player of the Year that season. He earned a rare NFL receiving Triple Crown with the most receptions (145), yards (1,947), and receiving touchdowns (16).
Kupp missed most of 2022 due to injury. He combined for 126 catches and 1,447 yards receiving during the past 2 seasons.
Kupp will be 32 when the 2025-26 NFL season begins. He says he's ready to rock.
“2024 began with one of the best training camps of my career. Preparations start now for 2025. Highly motivated, as healthy as ever, and looking forward to playing elite football for years to come. Love you guys. But coming for it all,” he said.
Several teams are seeking an off-season upgrade at the receiver position. Kupp is expected to cost in the $15-$20 million range, which is doable for several of those teams.
If Kupp wants to play for a contender, that ups the chances for the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Chargers, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Each team is in the market and each can afford the veteran. Each is planning on taking a step up from disappointing 2024 campaigns and has a decent chance of doing so.
The Green Bay Packers are also in that mix, but have been less likely than other teams to spend big on a single free agent.
The Denver Broncos are seeking a viable No. 2 to play opposite Courtland Sutton, offering a second option for Bo Nix.
The Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders can afford to spend a little more to attain Kupp, but all those teams appear to be more than a single WR away from challenging for titles.
