Eight weeks into the NFL season, and the league is turning into groups of have's and have-not's just in time for next week's trade deadline.

All 32 NFL teams have at least one victory through eight weeks, though three just have the singular notch in the win column.

Trajectories will change, and in the end, only 14 teams will advance to the NFL Playoffs. At some point prior to the Wild Card Round on Jan. 10, 18 teams will get the notification they won’t be part of the fun.

Bookies.com veteran oddsmaker Adam Thompson has updated his NFL odds as to which team is the first eliminated from postseason consideration for 2025.

Teams Likely To Miss The 2025 NFL Playoffs

The Tennessee Titans (1-7) have just one win and it was a fluky decision a Arizona. Their last six losses have all been by 10-plus points and they rank dead-last in yards gained and points scored. They get the Chargers in Week 9 before a much-needed bye.

The New York Jets (1-7) finally got their first win, shocking the Bengals 38-37 in Week 8. They'll come out of their bye week with a more-favorable part of their schedule.

The New Orleans Saints (1-7) have scored over 21 points just once, and that was in their lone victory over the Giants. The team is moving on from Spencer Rattler and to rookie Tyler Shough in an effort to offer fresh eyes on the unit.

The Las Vegas Raiders (2-5) comes out of their bye week with WR Tyler Lockett added to an offense in need of help. They rank 27th in both rushing and passing, and only the Titans have score less.

The New York Giants (2-6) pounded the Eagles two weeks ago, but in Week 8 got pounded in Philly. In-between, they allowed the Broncos to score 33 fourth-quarter points in a shocking one-point loss. Now sparkplug RB Cam Skattebo is out for the season (ankle).

The Arizona Cardinals (2-5) won their first two games before losing five straight. All five defeats have been by four points or less, and Arizona held a fourth-quarter lead in most of them. Unfortunately, Arizona owns the NFL's second-toughest remaining schedule.

The Miami Dolphins (2-6) showcased what could be in a 34-10 rout of the Falcons in Week 8. Prior to that, however, they were demolished 31-6 by the just-as-rough Browns. The schedule looks tough the next two weeks with games against the Ravens and Bills.

The Browns (2-6) have forged ahead with rookie Dillon Gabriel, but the team still ranks bottom-four in the NFL in both passing and rushing. They'll face the Jets in Week 10following their bye week.

The Field includes teams that could fall quickly in the latter half of the season mainly due to QB play, including the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers and Cincinnati Bengals.
