Week 1 is here and this is one of the best weeks of DFS of the year. Without a preseason, there will be several surprising performances and players who are severely undervalued. That makes creating a lineup unique and even more exciting. Here are some of our top DFS plays for the opening week of the 2020 season with prices from DraftKings.

Best Week 1 DFS QB
49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo ($5,800 at DraftKings)
Matchup: Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers
There are a bunch of intriguing and fascinating quarterback matchups this week, but the best value is Jimmy Garoppolo of the 49ers. Garoppolo posted huge numbers last season against the Arizona Cardinals, with 31.88 and 34.66 points in Weeks 9 and 11, respectively. Arizona was one of the league's worst pass defenses last season, allowing nearly 282 passing yards per game. They added a few intriguing defenders in the draft, but they still should surrender a ton of yards in the passing game.
While there are some question marks surrounding Garoppolo's passing targets, San Francisco still has George Kittle (our TE pick) and it appears Deebo Samuel will be ready for Week 1. He doesn't have the rushing upside of other quarterbacks this week, but play Garoppolo with confidence and expect at least 20 DK points from the 49ers' passer.

Best Week 1 DFS RB
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs ($6,800)
Matchup: Las Vegas Raiders vs. Carolina Panthers
Josh Jacobs was ultra-productive for the Raiders last season as a rookie despite dealing with a shoulder injury. Now he is 100 percent healthy entering the 2020 season, so Jon Gruden and the Raiders are expected to lean heavily on their second-year back.
Jacobs has an excellent Week 1 matchup with a Panthers' defense that allowed the most DFS points to running backs last season. That defense took an even bigger hit this offseason when All-Pro linebacker Luke Kuechly retired. Jacobs has a relatively high floor thanks to his volume and ability to win in the passing game. He is a must-play running back in Week 1. Don't be afraid of rolling with Jacobs as your RB1 in the season opener.

Best Week 1 DFS WR
Seahawks WR D.K. Metcalf ($5,800)
Matchup: Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons
To win in Week 1, DFS players will need to be aggressive and take some risks. That is why D.K. Metcalf of the Seattle Seahawks makes for the perfect wide receiver pick as he will face an Atlanta Falcons' defense with a very inexperienced secondary. Metcalf likely will match up against first-round rookie cornerback A.J. Terrell.
Metcalf likely won't see a ton of targets, but they will be in high-leverage situations that lead to fantasy points. He does have some risk to him as he scored more than 15 DFS points just four times last season. But considering this is projected to be one of the week's highest-scoring games, expect Russell Wilson to throw a bunch of passes. Metcalf looks like a safe bet to score a touchdown and eclipse 50 yards in Week 1 against a suspect pass defense.

Best Week 1 DFS TE
49ers TE George Kittle ($7,200)
Matchup: Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers
If you are going to play Garoppolo at quarterback, you might as well stack him with his top target, Kittle. The highest-priced tight end for Week 1, Kittle will likely be highly owned after dominating the Cardinals last season.
Arizona allowed the most fantasy points to tight ends last season and it wasn't even close. Arizona has safety Budda Baker on its roster but he can't match up with Kittle. With the rest of the pass-catchers being somewhat unreliable, look for Kittle to see double-digit targets and post monster numbers against the Cardinals this week.
Best Week 1 DFS FLEX
Eagles WR DeSean Jackson ($4,900)
Matchup: Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Football Team
One of our favorite flex plays of the week is DeSean Jackson of the Eagles. Rookie Jalen Reagor is out for Week 1 with a shoulder issue, so Jackson will be Philadelphia’s de facto No. 1 receiver. Jackson is certainly a player with a shaky injury history, but he is a perfect Week 1 DFS player. Look no further than how he performed last year in Week 1 vs. Washington, scoring two touchdowns and racking up 154 yards on nine receptions.
It's unfair to expect that type of production, but Jackson should see near double-digit targets against one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. Considering the price, Jackson is a must-play at wide receiver or in the flex spot this week.
