Best Week 13 DFS QB

Rams QB Jared Goff ($5,800)

Matchup: at Cardinals

DFS is all about projecting forward and not chasing points. Jared Goff of the Los Angeles Rams is an excellent example. His constant up-and-down performances can be frustrating for fantasy players. But Week 13 projects as a strong week to play Goff as he will take on the Arizona Cardinals.

Strangely enough, Goff has been a great road quarterback this year. He's averaging 304 passing yards and 24.1 DFS points when playing away from home. He has a strong matchup this week against Arizona, which has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

Look for the Rams to use short passes to take advantage of the weaknesses of the Cardinals' secondary. This is a great week to put Goff in your lineups despite a poor performance against the 49ers last week.

Best Week 13 DFS RB

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler ($7,100)

Matchup: vs. Patriots

In his first game back from his hamstring injury, Austin Ekeler caught 11 passes for 85 yards on 16 targets. He was somewhat ineffective on the ground, rushing for just 44 yards on 14 carries. However, what is clear is that the Chargers have no problem feeding targets and touches to Ekeler. He finished the game with 23.9 points despite being eased back into the lineup for the first time since Week 4.

In Week 13, he will face a Patriots defense that hasn't been all that effective in stopping opposing running backs. That is especially true in the passing game as they don't have the linebackers to cover running backs out of the backfield. Ekeler has been rock-solid any time he's been on the field this season, averaging 17.1 DFS points per game. Look for this to be another strong week as the Chargers give Ekeler even more work.

Best Week 13 DFS WR

Rams WR Cooper Kupp ($6,100)

Matchup: at Cardinals

If you are going to start Goff at quarterback, you might as well start his favorite receiver in Cooper Kupp. Kupp does most of his damage out of the slot, meaning that he will avoid former All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson. Instead, he will be guarded by second-year slot cornerback Byron Murphy, who has surrendered a ton of fantasy points to opposing receivers this season.

We've already seen Kupp have some massive performances this season, and this should be another one in Week 13. He's had three games this season with at least 25 DFS points. There are certain games where the script makes Kupp a great play. This is one of them. Don't be surprised if this is another double-digit target game for Kupp as the Rams try to throw all over the Cardinals defense.

Best Week 13 DFS TE

Titans TE Jonnu Smith ($4,100)

Matchup: vs. Browns

Finding reliable production from tight ends this year has been extremely difficult. There have been a few surprise performances throughout the year, but for the most part, guys such as Travis Kelce and Darren Waller have continually finished at the top of the position each week. Outside of those two, it's like throwing darts at a dartboard to find any decent production.

NFL Week 13 DFS Picks: Winning Weapons in West at QB, RB, WR 2

This week, our throw at the board will be Jonnu Smith of the Titans. Coming off a game in which he did not receive a single target, Smith will be facing a Browns defense that has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. If Cleveland loads up to stop the run, Smith could be the biggest beneficiary in the passing game. At $4,100, he's clearly the most talented tight end in his price range.

Best Week 13 DFS FLEX

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton ($4,300)

Matchup: at Texans

2020 has not been T.Y. Hilton's best season. He has played 10 games but has caught just 33 passes for 408 yards and one touchdown. In his prime, Hilton was a 1,400-yard receiver and was nearly impossible to defend one-on-one. But he's no longer that player as his age and injuries have caught up with him.

However, he could be in for a throwback performance in Week 13 as he will face a team that he has had a ton of success against in the past: The Texans.

Houston will be without top cornerback Bradley Roby, who has been suspended for six games due to a performance-enhancing drug violation. Given the rest of their secondary problems, that could mean Hilton could expose this defense like he's done in the past. At only $4,300, Hilton is a great flex play who could easily outperform his value on Sunday.
