NFL Week 15 Best Bets: Potential Super Bowl 60 Preview Among Early Holiday Gifts

Promo Code: BOOKIESBG150
A potential Super Bowl preview in Denver, another Jared Goff-Matt Stafford reunion, and a key AFC East showdown highlight our Week 15 NFL Best Bets as the NFL calendar offers several early gifts for the holidays.
Jim Nantz and Tony Romo head to the Mile High City to a potential Super bowl preview in the CBS national game between host Denver and Green Bay.
The 11-2 Patriots come off the bye with a share of the NFL’s best record ahead of their latest rematch against the Bills. Incumbent MVP Buffalo QB Josh Allen carried the Bills on his back Sunday. Back-to-back picks off the frozen arm of Joe Burrow set up the Bills for a thrilling 39-34 comeback win over the Bungles as snow filled Highmark Stadium during a Bills game for perhaps the last time.
“America’s Game Of The Week” on FOX sends Tom Brady and the Detroit Lions to SoFi Stadium to face the Rams. Stafford seized the lead in the MVP race over Drake Maye (-180 to +200) after throwing 3 TDs against the CFL Cardinals. Expect a loud crowd no matter which team has the ball given the fickle nature of the Rams non-existent local fan base.
Stinkers Dot Calendar On Thursday, Monday Night
A pair of struggling NFC South teams – Atlanta and Tampa Bay – begin the week Thursday night at Raymond James. Somehow, the Bucs still own a piece of 1st place in the division. The Falcons were eliminated from playoff consideration Sunday. No word on if they play to accept their bowl bid.
Monday night, NBC wishes it had a re-do as the Vikings and Cowboys close out the week at Jerry World. The Cowboys need a win to keep their minuscule postseason hopes alive. The Vikings will likely be mathematically eliminated by kickoff.
There are no more byes this season. And the NFL begins its Saturday schedule next week.

NFL Week 15 Best Bets: Game-By-Game Analysis
Thursday, Dec. 11
Atlanta Falcons (4-9) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-6)
8:15 p.m. (Prime)
Buzz: The Buccaneers lost outright at home to the Saints as 8-point favorites Sunday. The Bucs have been dogged by injuries all season. A lack of talented depth caught them Sunday, along with Tyler Shough. The Bucs allowed 17 points in the second half in a 24-20 loss. Somehow, the Bucs still own a piece of 1st place in the division (tied with Carolina). The Falcons were eliminated from playoff consideration Sunday. No word on if they play to accept their bowl bid. No team in the NFL has found more creative ways to lose this season. The Falcons may tap out in the 2nd half if Tampa Bay’s defense shows up early like it did on Sunday.
Best Bet: Buccaneers -4.5 (-110) Hard Rock Bet via OddsJam

Sunday, Dec. 14
Buffalo Bills (9-4) at New England Patriots (11-2)
1 p.m. (CBS)
Buzz: Mike Vrabel is 6-0 as a head coach coming off the bye, winning by an average 30-14 score. That includes a 42-16 win over Sean McDermott’s Bills in 2020. The 11-2 Patriots return to work this week with a share of the best record in the NFL (although they would lose the tiebreaker 11-2 Denver). Buffalo visits New England as the “national” CBS game in the 1 p.m. Sunday time slot. Defending MVP Josh Allen and the Bills lost to New England 23-20 in Week 3. That victory launched Drake Maye’s MVP campaign and draped this version of the Patriots with legitimacy.
Allen and the Bills snagged a 39-34 win over Cincinnati Sunday after forcing back-to-back interceptions off Joe Burrow. If Maye and the Patriots limit their turnovers here, it will be time for those AFC East Champion hats and t-shirts once again. The trend lines favor New England, given that it’s covered in 5 straight against Buffalo, in addition to winning 10 straight overall. The good old days are back in Foxboro.
Best Bet: Patriots ML (-105) DraftKings via OddsJam
Cleveland Browns (3-10) at Chicago Bears (9-4)
1 p.m. (FOX)
Buzz: The Browns met mathematical elimination Sunday with a 31-29 loss to the 2-11 Titans. Kevin Stefanski chose to not have Shedeur Sanders on the field for an ill-fated 2-point conversion attempt. Sanders showed glimpses of real talent this season and has a solid NFL future in Cleveland. Stefanski, not so much. The Bears fell from the No. 1 seed to the No. 7 seed in the NFC with their 28-21 loss to the Packers in Green Bay. Those teams meet next week in the Windy City. The Bears need to avoid any sort of a trap game here, and they should. Two up-and-coming QBs (Caleb Williams and Sanders) and pair of Old School defenses produce a fun-to-watch vibe. Throw in 19-degree temperatures, a frigid wind off Lake Michigan and some snow flurries. And you get great NFL TV. Stay warm Take the points.
Best Bet: Browns +7.5 (-110) Hard Rock Bet via OddsJam
Baltimore Ravens (6-7) at Cincinnati Bengals (4-9)
1 p.m. (CBS)
Buzz: The Bengals won Round 1 between these teams 2 weeks ago in Baltimore 32-14. Yet they enter this game as home dogs. You know the NFL. Up one week. Down the next. The NFL’s two biggest disappointments East of Kansas City renew their AFC North vows this week. Both QBs Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow missed significant time this season. The Ravens came up short again against the Steelers on Sunday. Burrow threw back-to-back picks in Buffalo wrecking what was otherwise a terrific outing against the Bills. The Ravens let Aaron Rodgers run for a TD, his first such score in 3 seasons. They’ve covered in 13 of 14 in the AFC North after a division loss. Burrow & Company, meanwhile, need to start working on 2026. That effort begins this week.
Best Bet: Bengals +1.5 (-110) DraftKings via OddsJam
Los Angeles Chargers (8-4) at Kansas City Chiefs (6-7)
1 p.m. (CBS)
Buzz: For the first time since 2015, a team other than Kansas City will win the AFC West this season. The Chiefs Divisional Dynasty ended with their 20-10 loss to Houston Sunday night. Patrick Mahomes suffered the worst outing of his career against the Texans. Unfortunately for Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift, Park Avenue and Mahomes, the Chargers bring the NFL’s No. 3 defense (275.3 YPG) into Arrowhead this week. The Chiefs have failed to cover in 5 straight games. The Bolts played Philadelphia Monday night. This number might move after that game, but bettors continue to buy into the Chiefs. Sometimes, it’s hard to let go. It’s not you. It’s me.
Best Bet: Chargers +4.5 (-110) DraftKings via OddsJam
Washington Commanders (3-10) at New York Giants (2-11)
1 p.m. (FOX)
Buzz: The Giants beat the holiday rush and got eliminated from the playoffs before their bye last week. They tapped out early against New England 2 weeks ago. Big Blue fans usually save those MetLife paper bags for their green-clad brethren and sistren. But don’t be surprised when the Bag Heads show up for a miserable day of football in Northern New Jersey. The Commanders, meanwhile, have lost 8 straight. Temperatures in the 20s. Two putrid teams. An interim Giants head coach. What does it all mean? Take the under and finish your holiday shopping.
Best Bet: Under 47.5 Points (-110) DraftKings via OddsJam
Las Vegas Raiders (2-11) at Philadelphia Eagles (8-4)
1 p.m. (FOX)
Buzz: The Eagles come off a Monday night “home” game against the Chargers at SoFi Stadium. The Eagles must fix whatever ails them at home here if they hope to reach the postseason as contenders. A cold and cloudy 32-degree day at Lincoln Financial Field against a dome AFC West team playing in the Easten Time Zone offers an optimal chance to do so. Pete Carroll and the Raiders delivered a backdoor cover for the ages at Allegiant Stadium Sunday as 7.5-point underdogs. Down 10 points, Las Vegas kicked goal with 2 seconds to end the game. The kick pushed the total over 40.5 points, as well, in a 24-17 Broncos victory. Whatever it takes to keep the locals happy. This game is an NFL paradox, offering a 12.5-point line on a 38.5-point total. Yet, a 21-7 Eagles final somehow makes sense.
Best Bet: Under 38.5 Points (-110) DraftKings via OddsJam
New York Jets (3-10) at Jacksonville Jaguars (9-4)
1 p.m. (CBS)
Buzz: The Jets on Sunday extended their run to 57 seasons without a Super Bowl and 15 seasons without a playoff appearance. A 34-10 loss to the Dolphins mathematically eliminated Gang Green from the postseason. The Jets used 3 QBs against Miami Sunday. They say the only thing worse than having 1 starting QB is having 2 starting QBs. Well, the Jets used 3 QBs in their 24-point home loss to Dolphins. Joe Willie Namath may come out of retirement to take the first snap here. The Jaguars sunk the 39-16 Colts in a Florida deluge and led 28-10 at the half. The Cats purr all day this week, as well. Cool and dry conditions spell a big day for Trevor Lawrence.
Best Bet: Jaguars -11.5 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam
Arizona Cardinals (3-10) at Houston Texans (8-5)
1 p.m. (FOX)
Buzz: Two NFL polar opposites meet in Houston. The Cardinals quit early and often in a 45-17 home loss to the Rams. Their playoff drought continues this season. The Texans, meanwhile, slayed the demon Sunday night in beating Kansas City 20-10. The Texans best-in-the-NFL defense (16 PPG & 266.3 YPG) handed Patrick Mahomes the worst outing of his career Sunday, forcing 3 interceptions. That avenged a tough playoff loss in K.C. last season. Arizona’s covered 7 of 8 as road underdogs and rides a 5-0 ATS streak against the NFC. The Texans defense emerges as the dominant force here and harass Jacoby Brissett all day. Meanwhile, C.J. Stroud mixes the run and pass, amassing double-digit play drives that devour chunks of clock. Don’t expect a blowout. Just a solid victory for the home team.
Best Bet: Cardinals +9.5 (-110) FanDuel via OddsJam

Green Bay Packers (9-3-1) at Denver Broncos (11-2)
4:25 p.m. (CBS)
Buzz: Jim Nantz and Tony Romo head to the Mile High City to a potential Super bowl preview in the CBS national game. The Packers (-5.5) emerged victorious with the cover 28-21 from a rock fight Sunday against the Bears at Lambeau Field. Those teams meet again next week. The Broncos share the best record in the NFL with New England but own the tiebreaker by sweeping of Raiders this season. (Las Vegas beat New England in Week 1.) Green Bay has lost 4 straight on the road against the AFC West. The Broncos (18.1 PPG) and Packers (19.0 PPG) boast the NFL’s No. 6 and 7 defenses, respectively. Jordan Love keeps the Packers in this game, but it’s hard to pass on the best team in the league (standings don’t lie) getting points at home. So we won’t.
Best Bet: Broncos +2.5 (-115) BetMGM via OddsJam
Detroit Lions (8-5) at Los Angeles Rams (10-3)
4:25 p.m. (FOX)
Buzz: Jared Goff and Matt Stafford face their former teams again in the FOX national TV game. MVP favorite Stafford (-180 at DraftKings) and the Rams and are tied with the white-hot Seahawks at 10-3 atop the NFC West. (Those teams meet next week at Seattle.) The Lions remain in cat fight to make the playoffs. The NFC North appears out of reach. Stafford’s performance against the Cardinals Sunday must be seen in perspective.
LA’s 45-17 win over Arizona turned into a scrimmage by halftime. He’s been limited by legit defenses this season. Expect Dan Campbell and the NFL’s No. 1 scoring offense (30.1 PPG) to go for broke all day here, given the potential for the Rams (29.2 PPG) to keep pace. But the Rams defense holds a significant edge over Detroit’s. It proves to be the difference maker here. Look for LA to force critical turnovers that sway this one its way.
Best Bet: Rams -4.5 (-110) Hard Rock Bet via OddsJam
Carolina Panthers (7-6) at New Orleans Saints (3-10)
4:25 p.m. (FOX)
Buzz: The Saints upset Tampa Bay Sunday 24-20 as 8-point underdogs but were still eliminated from the postseason. The Panthers, meanwhile, come off the bye tied with Tampa Bay atop the NFC South. The Saints beat the Panthers 17-7 last month, forcing QB Bryce Young into 2 turnovers. The Panthers are ready for Tyler Shough this time. Carolina (8-5 ATS) nabs a tough road win and continue its successful ways against the number.
Best Bet: Panthers -2.5 (-110) DraftKings via OddsJam
Tennessee Titans (2-11) at San Francisco 49ers (9-4)
4:25 p.m. (FOX)
Buzz: There’s no reason for anyone outside San Francisco to watch this game unless it involves a multi-leg parlay (Why?) or fantasy play. The Titans somehow beat Cleveland Sunday, putting their quest for the No. 1 overall pick in peril. The rested-and-getting-healthier Niners come off the bye - and get another bye. Brock Purdy and the 49ers begin to re-discover their mojo this week. But don’t touch this line with your ex-Mother-In-Law’s money.
Best Bet: Over 44.5 Points (-110) DraftKings via OddsJam
Indianapolis Colts (8-5) at Seattle Seahawks (10-3)
4:25 p.m. (CBS)
Buzz: The heady days of the Colts having the best record in the league and “Indiana Jones” working his magic have been tossed upon the ash heap of history. The Colts lost Daniel Jones to an Achilles injury Sunday and got wrecked 36-19 by the Jaguars in the process. Indy QB Riley Leonard and the climate-controlled Colts this week draw Seattle’s earthquake-like 12th Man, and a cold and rainy day in Pacific Northwest. The Seahawks (an NFL top 10-3 ATS) own a share of 1st place in the AFC West. They remain the best team nobody’s watching this week.
Best Bet: Seahawks -11.5 (-110) DraftKings via OddsJam
Minnesota Vikings (5-8) at Dallas Cowboys (6-6-1)
8:20 p.m. (NBC)
Buzz: Minnesota may be the worst 5-8 team in the NFL. The Vikings' season has long since sailed into Valhalla even with Sunday's 31-0 win over Washington. J.J. McCarthy's best game of the season can't wash away the sour taste that has filled the metaphorical mouths of Vikings fans as they watch Sam Darnold tear it up for Seattle. The Cowboys could not catch the Lions Thursday night, and were outpaced in a 44-30 rout. Look for Dak Prescott and Dallas' offense (No. 1 in total yards at 394.9 YPG) to extend the field and stack points against Minnesota's mid defense.
Best Bet: Dallas -6 (-110) DraftKings via OddsJam
Monday, Dec. 15
Miami Dolphins (6-7) at Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6)
8:15 p.m. (ESPN)
Buzz: The Steelers stand alone as the only team in the AFC North over .500. Pittsburgh may well win the division by default. Aaron Rodgers ran for his first rushing TD in 3 years Sunday in a 27-22 rock-fight win over Baltimore. (Those teams meet in Week 18.) The Dolphins won another December Super Bowl after claiming a 34-10 win over the Jets at chilly MetLife. Tua & Friends draw another cold weather road game this week. But this time, they'll be playing at night, amid 20-something temperatures, a rabidly loud crowd, and the possibility of light snow. The Dolphins have the personnel to win this game. But are they prepared to flip their historic script in winter-like conditions. Mike Tomlin usually saves his brain-freezes for January. It's too soon this week.
