Week 1 was wild in the NFL for daily fantasy sports as multiple receivers had big performances, such as DeAndre Hopkins and Davante Adams. Without either in your lineups, you likely didn't have much success. Week 2 is here and this is one of the toughest weeks of the year for DFS players, who must decide how to react to what they saw in the first week. Keeping that in mind, here are our best plays, with prices from DraftKings, for this weekend:

Top DFS Team for Week 2

Pos. Player Matchup DraftKings
Price
QB Matt Ryan Falcons at Cowboys $6,600
RB Ronald Jones Panthers at Buccaneers $5,200
RB Benny Snell Broncos at Steelers $4,500
WR Julio Jones Falcons at Cowboys $7,400
WR Davante Adams Lions at Packers $8,100
WR Allen Robinson Giants at Bears $6,400
TE Chris Herndon 49ers at Jets $3,400
FLEX Diontae Johnson Broncos at Steelers $4,500
D/ST Pittsburgh Steelers Broncos at Steelers $3,800

Note: Prices from DraftKings are based on a $50,000 salary cap for the week

Best Week 2 DFS QB

Falcons QB Matt Ryan ($6,600 at DraftKings)

Matchup: Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys

When you pick a DFS quarterback, you always want to find a passer who will likely play in a high-scoring contest. That seems likely for Matt Ryan as his Falcons will take on the Cowboys. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the over/under is 52, the second-highest of the week behind Baltimore vs. Houston (52.5).

Another reason why Ryan is a strong pick this week is that he has been a fantastic road quarterback in DFS. In his past eight road games, Ryan has averaged 24.1 fantasy points per game. Compare that to his home performances (18.1) and it's not hard to see that he is simply a better fantasy player away from Atlanta. Given Dallas' injuries and youth on defense, expect 300 passing yards and a few scores from Ryan on Sunday.

Best Week 2 DFS RB

Steelers RB Benny Snell ($4,500)

Matchup: Denver Broncos at Pittsburgh Steelers

After James Conner went down with an ankle injury on Monday against the Giants, Benny Snell quickly became the Steelers' workhorse. Snell was incredibly effective, rushing for a career-high 113 yards on 19 carries. Snell isn't going to do a ton as a receiver, but considering his price, he's too good to pass on in Week 2.

Pittsburgh's offensive line could be somewhat of an issue after a few injuries, but the Broncos just allowed 130 rushing yards at home to the Titans. With Pittsburgh likely to limit Ben Roethlisberger's pass attempts, Snell should receive close to 20 touches in Week 2. Snell is a good bet to reach the end zone against Denver at Heinz Field.

Best Week 2 DFS WR

Falcons WR Julio Jones ($7,400)

Matchup: Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys

Early on in the DFS season, you can get some great values on super-stud receivers. Look no further than Julio Jones, who is priced at just $7,400 this week. Compare that to Week 17 of the 2019 season when his price was $8,500. Jones dominated in Week 1, catching nine passes for 157 yards against Seattle.

In Week 2, he gets a strong matchup against the Cowboys on the road. Jones has totaled 476 yards and three touchdowns in four career games against Dallas and has gone over 115 yards in three of those contests. With Dallas' weak secondary, Jones should be in for a monster game. Strongly consider stacking him with Ryan in what should be a shootout in Dallas.

Best Week 2 DFS TE

Jets TE Chris Herndon ($3,400)

Matchup: San Francisco 49ers at New York Jets

If you plan on spending up on wide receivers this week, you'll need to find a cheaper option at tight end. Luckily, there are a handful of really good options available under $4,000. One of our favorite plays is Chris Herndon of the New York Jets.

After receiving a ton of offseason hype, Herndon disappointed in Week 1 against the Bills. He totaled just 37 receiving yards and lost a key fumble. However, the usage was encouraging as he saw seven targets from Sam Darnold against a strong Buffalo defense. In Week 2, the Jets will take on the 49ers at home and their offensive line will likely be overmatched once again. Look for Darnold to get rid of the ball quickly and rely on someone like Herndon to carry the passing offense. While he's unlikely to see a big yardage total, don't be surprised if Herndon catches 7-8 passes and sees a few red zone looks.

Best Week 2 DFS FLEX

Steelers WR Diontae Johnson ($4,500)

Matchup: Denver Broncos at Pittsburgh Steelers

In Week 1, the Broncos did a fantastic job of taking away A.J. Brown, the Titans' No. 1 receiver. However, they really struggled to stop Corey Davis on the other side. Denver’s cornerback situation is a bit of a mess. That could be a problem in Week 2 as the Broncos travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers.

Second-year receiver Diontae Johnson didn't have a strong Week 1 performance against the Giants, but opportunities were there. Johnson led the Steelers in targets with 10 but turned that into just six receptions for 57 yards. The usage is there for Johnson and bigger weeks are certainly coming for the Steelers' No. 2 receiver. At only $4,500, he is a strong flex play in Week 2.
