SugarHouse and BetRivers have partnered to offer an NFL pick’em style game for NFL betting fans called the Pennsylvania Pick’em Contest, just in time for the upcoming NFL football season, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

The game is a leaderboard-style pick’em game where football bettors in Pennsylvania who think they have the knowledge and skill to consistently pick winners over the NFL regular season can compete against other players trying to do the same thing. The online contest launched over the weekend and is available now at both the SugarHouse and BetRivers websites, both Rush Street Interactive companies.

The buy-in for the contest is $125 until Aug. 15 and will go up to $150 after that. The game is set up like a Las Vegas-style football pick’em contest, where players are asked to pick straight winners for select NFL football matchups (excluding Thursday night games) over the season. There are no moneylines or point spreads to worry about. This game is all about picking winners.

Pennsylvania Pick’em Contest’s Robust Prize Pool

The total prize pool for the contest is $500,000 in guaranteed winnings for 501 players, with at least $125,000 to the overall season winner. Other interesting ways to rake in the dough include being a weekly winners, with a $2,500 prize each week, or being the “Biggest Loser” and receive $2,500 just for having the most incorrect picks for the entire season.

There are lots of other ways for players to maximize profits from playing the game, too. The second-place prize for the season will be at least $40,000 and prize winnings go down from there to at least $175 for 401st to 500th place.

All winnings, whether for weekly prizes or the overall season, will be paid out via deposits to the online accounts after the 17th week of the NFL regular season.

Pick’em Contest For Keystone State Only

Contestants must be within Pennsylvania state lines to sign up for the contest, but the game is offered only online and not at brick-and-mortar sportsbook locations. There’s also no vig, meaning that all of the entry fees collected by the operators go directly into the prize pool. That means if the contest collects more than $500,000 in entry fees, then all the extra money will be added to the overall prize pool.

There is no administration fee, and 100% of the contest fees will be paid out to winners.

The contest is strictly limited to players inside Pennsylvania state lines during every week of the upcoming NFL season. Players must be physically within Pennsylvania to enter and submit picks every week. While the picks are made online, contest rules strictly prohibit proxies from submitting picks for players outside of the state.
