The US Open is just days away but already tennis betting fans across the country are eyeing up potential players to back.

And there are certainly plenty of options available when you check out the tennis betting odds!

It’s not all about who will win the US Open but also how far you think players will progress. That’s where the real money in tennis betting lies, and there are plenty of strong predictions to be made here.

For example, Cori Gauff may not be on course to win the US Open but the 15-year-old can certainly cause a few upsets along the way! And that’s what sports betting experts are searching for.

So we’ve collected the very best picks for who you should jump on now and bet for success at the US Open.

US Open 2019 Picks

Bet Country Odds
Novak Djokovic ?? +120
Serena Williams ?? +500
Rafael Nadal ?? +350
Naomi Osaka ?? +1000
Madison Keys ?? +1600
Nick Kyrgios ?? +4000
Cori 'Coco' Gauff ?? +3300

PICK 1: Novak Djokovic (+120)

The man everyone is talking about. Novak Djokovic is the World No 1 by a long distance and has won two Grand Slam titles already. He could easily earn an 18th career major in New York this summer and is the +120 favorite to clinch the title. For tennis betting fans who like to back the favorite, Djokovic’s price is not going to get any bigger than this. So take advantage now before it swings past +100 and into the negatives.

PICK 2: Serena Williams (+500)

It’s almost a lottery betting on Serena Williams these days. At the age of 37, the Queen of Tennis is agonizingly close to landing the Grand Slam singles record. She succumbed to Osaka in the US Open final last year and has lost the Wimbledon final since. Williams can still beat the majority of players on the WTA Tour but does she have it in her to clinch the title here?

Her odds of +500 are the highest they have been for a long time, which belies the lack of confidence punters have in her, with bookmakers trying to tempt fans back in. But should Williams win her opening few matches those odds will plummet as bookies get cold feet. So if you’re going to back Williams, do it sooner rather than later.

PICK 3: Rafael Nadal (+350)

The man who many see as the only real challenger to Novak Djokovic’s crown. Rafael Nadal last won the US Open in 2017 and remains a fierce competitor on the ATP Tour. In a rare instance for Nadal, he heads to the US Open without any major injury issues. Nadal, like Djokovic, will only see his price fall the further into the tournament we get. So his odds of +350 with 888 Sport is currently a great price.

PICK 4: Naomi Osaka (+1000)

Twelve months on from her maiden Grand Slam victory and Naomi Osaka has added another major to her name. The US Open and Australian Open champion is a hard-court expert and she will hope to peak for Flushing Meadows next week.

Now, Osaka is not in the best of form at the moment. She has won just four matches since crashing out of Wimbledon in the first round. But because of that her price has widened to a tempting +1000 — and these are great odds for a player who came into last year’s US Open with no form to boast of either.

PICK 5: Madison Keys (+1600)

Having won the Cincinnati Masters title last weekend, Madison Keys is potentially peaking at just the right point. The 24-year-old reached the US Open final back in 2017 and also has an Australian Open semi-final to her name. Keys is the big outsider to watch at Flushing Meadows this summer and her price of +1600 to win the title has already crashed from +2500 when the betting markets opened.

PICK 6: Nick Kyrgios (+4000)

He may not win the US Open title this week but keep watch of Nick Kyrgios. The controversial Australian is never too far from trouble yet on his day he can be unbeatable. Kyrgios is a bookmaker’s nightmare because he can beat the best in the world one day, and then crash out of a tournament the next. His volatility forces bookmakers to keep close watch of his odds and Kyrgios can often be priced high in Grand Slams.

Kyrgios is +4000 to win the US Open, which may seem like a ridiculously large price. But if you want to play the odds then now is the perfect time to back the 24-year-old because that price will tumble if he progresses through the early rounds.

PICK 7: Cori 'Coco' Gauff (+3300)

As we’ve just mentioned, it is unlikely Gauff will win the US Open. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t bet on her to progress deep into the tournament. Gauff stunned the world of tennis when reaching the fourth round of Wimbledon, knocking Venus Williams out in the process. William Hill have Gauff at +3300 to win the US Open and let’s face it, it’s just not going to happen. But Gauff should be watched closely once the US Open draw is made, with match betting the best tactic here.
