As betting experiences go, it’s hard to top the entertainment value of a carefully constructed parlay. It’s the best way to watch games all day and stay invested. And there’s nothing better than putting it together with a group of friends, arguing over the last leg, debating whether to hedge if things go well early, etc.

There’s also a chance to make some big money on these things and we see new examples every week. A Las Vegas resident turned a $1,548 parlay bet into $367,594.25 on a five-leg parlay just last Saturday. That’s a pretty aggressive move, but it paid off.

One DraftKings customer made a more reasonable $2 wager and cashed $20,987.04 Monday on a nine-team NFL moneyline parlay.

The “Home Dogs” Parlay

Leg 1: Temple (+6) Over Tulane

We’re kicking off with one of the best home underdog teams in the nation. Since 2015, Temple has gone 8-2 against the spread as a home dog and is 2-1 this season. The Owls also beat Memphis outright to hand the Tigers their only loss of the season. The Owls get us started on the right note.

Leg 2: USF (+14) over Cincinnati

The Bulls always play Cincinnati tough. They’ve won three of the last four games against the Bearcats and this year USF needs to win two of the last three to become bowl eligible. South Florida’s defense is coming off two strong showings, having given up 20 points in a win over East Carolina and 17 in a loss to Temple. We like USF to keep it within two scores.

Leg 3: Georgia State (+16.5) over Appalachian State

The Panthers are gonna be fired up, needing a win to keep their conference title hopes alive. They actually have the better offense here, averaging 485 yards per game. Appalachian State is stronger defensively but this thing has two-sided shootout written all over it.

The “Just Win” Parlay

Leg 1: Florida ML

Missouri is coming off a three-game road stretch, all losses, and that 5-1 start is long gone. The Tigers lost to Vanderbilt. Enough said. Florida has handled lesser opponents all season under Kyle Trask and should put up points on a Missouri defense that isn’t what it was at the start of the season. Both Gators losses were against top-4 teams in the College Football Playoff rankings.

Leg 2: Minnesota ML

The Golden Gophers are coming off of their best win in years and quarterback Tanner Morgan was lights out with 339 passing yards, three scores and no interceptions against Penn State. Iowa is better defensively but really struggles to score against above-average opponents. Minnesota moves to 10-0 in Iowa City.

Leg 3: Wyoming ML

The Cowboys are great against the run, giving up just 97.6 rushing yards per game. They nearly won last week at Boise State, falling just short in overtime. Utah State has lost two of its past three and got blown out by BYU and Air Force. We like Wyoming for the upset.
