Jessica Andrade (-195) vs. Amanda Lemos (+165)

The headliner of UFC Vegas 52 features former UFC women’s strawweight champion Jessica Andrade taking on rising contender Amanda Lemos. Andrade is a -195 favorite to win, while Lemos is a +165 underdog on betting sites. I agree with these odds as I expect Andrade to win.

Andrade has been in the UFC for nearly a decade and she has been one of the most successful women’s fighters during that time. She has actually fought at three weight classes – 135lbs, 125lbs, and 115lbs – and has won fights in all three of those divisions. She is one of the most powerful strikers in any women’s weight class and she also has really strong wrestling skills. It’s no wonder she is a former UFC champion, and she’s a great fighter. In her last fight, she had a knockout win over Cynthia Calvillo, exhibiting her killer instinct once again.

Lemos is also an excellent fighter who has competed in multiple weight classes in the UFC. After losing at 135lbs back in 2017, she returned in 2019 at 115lbs and since then she has won five straight fights, with three of those wins coming by stoppage. Lemos has huge power in her hands and that power has allowed her to quickly move up the rankings. That being said, she did struggle against Angela Hill in her last fight and probably should have lost the decision. The fact Lemos struggled so much against Hill doesn’t exactly instill confidence against Andrade.

Although Lemos has been on a roll, I think the winning streak ends here. This should be an awesome fight for as long as it lasts, but I expect Andrade to get the job done. For your UFC betting, take Andrade at -195 on the moneyline and consider the prop on Andrade winning by TKO at +200.

Clay Guida (-110) vs. Claudio Puelles (-110)

The co-main event is a fun lightweight bout between veteran Clay Guida and rising prospect Claudio Puelles. The line is a Pick ‘Em at -110 each, and I think we are getting some good value here on Puelles, as I think he will pick up the biggest win of his career against Guida.

Puelles turned 26 years old this week, so he’s one of the younger fighters in the UFC lightweight division. After losing his UFC debut back in 2016, when he was just 20, he has since won four straight fights, including two wins via kneebar submission. Puelles is an excellent young prospect with tremendous grappling who is always improving his striking as well. He has the height and reach advantage against Guida in this fight, and he’s also 15 years younger.

Guida is 40 years old, making him one of the oldest fighters in the UFC, but he is still competitive and is coming off of a huge submission win over Leonardo Santos in his last outing. He has fought the best of the best in the world for the past 15 years and he has beaten some of the best lightweights in the sport such as Nate Diaz, Anthony Pettis and Rafael dos Anjos. That being said, he is getting up there in age and he still has a serious hole in his submission defense as he’s lost 10 fights by tapout, which could prove to be a problem against Puelles.

I think Puelles is one of the best young fighters at 155lbs, and I believe he has what it takes to beat Guida. Give me Puelles to win at -110 and take Puelles by submission at +400.

Marcin Prachnio (-125) vs. Philipe Lins (+105)

On the preliminary card is a light heavyweight bout between Marcin Prachnio and Philipe Lines. The odds on betting apps see Prachnio as the slight favorite at -125 with the comeback on Lins at +105, and I see value on Prachnio here as a short favorite.

Prachnio has had an up-and-down UFC career overall, but as of late, it’s only looked up. After losing his first three UFC fights by knockout, he’s won his last two fights, including a decision win over highly-respected striker Khalil Rountree and a KO win over Ike Villanueva. Prachnio has really improved his game the last few years and I’m expecting him to show even more improvements in this matchup against Lins.

I have not been impressed with Lins at all in the UFC. He lost a decision to Andrei Arlovski in his debut and then got knocked out by Tanner Boser in his next fight. He is now dropping down to 205lbs, which could benefit him, but I’m still not convinced. When Lins came to the UFC a few years ago after winning the PFL heavyweight belt, there were high hopes for him. Since joining the UFC, he has been nothing short of a disappointment.

This is a fade on Lins and also a nice spot to target Prachnio at low favorite odds. Give me Prachnio to win at -125, and alternatively, take Prachnio to win inside the distance at +160.
