Depending on your betting site of choice, it’s likely that Group C features both the shortest-priced team to win a World Cup group and the biggest-priced team to qualify. Brazil are the main attraction here, with Morocco and Scotland in behind. Haiti will be hoping they’re more than just making up the numbers.
Brazil, under legendary manager Carlo Ancelotti, will be hoping to win a record sixth World Cup this summer. 24 years since their last appearance in the semi-finals represents their longest such draught in the history of the competition. Group C looks to be theirs for the taking, but they are lacking some of the star power previous Brazil sides had and don’t arrive at the tournament in the best form. They struggled in qualification and could flatter to deceive in latter rounds again.
The surprise package of the 2022 World Cup, Morocco will be out to prove that their fourth-place finish was no fluke. Unbeaten in 26 games in the build-up to this summer’s tournament - including that African Cup of Nations result - with a solid squad led by names like Achraf Hakimi and Brahim Diaz, there are plenty of reasons why they’re seen as potential dark horses by some football betting sites.

As has become tradition, Scotland make the World Cup and find themselves in a group with Brazil. This will be the third straight time it’s happened at World Cups Scotland have qualified for, and four of the last five. The Scots have managed just one win in their last 11 World Cup games but will be hoping to add to that when they take on the likely Group C bottom-feeders.
The fact that Haiti have qualified for the World Cup is a victory in itself. Ranked 83rd in the world, and with just three wins from their last 12 games coming into the tournament, they appear to face an uphill struggle. Picking up a point would be a surprise. Scoring a goal or two may be the best they can hope for.
Odds to win Group C
World Cup betting apps have Brazil as strong, odds-on favourites. Morocco are best-positioned to cause an upset. Haiti’s price to win the group pretty much tells its own story.
Odds to Qualify From Group C
It’s likely that Brazil, Morocco and Scotland could all qualify for the knockouts purely on the back of their results against Haiti. Here are the latest odds from top World Cup betting sites to qualify from Group C:
Group C Fixtures
Group C gets under way on 13th June with Brazil vs Morocco, in what could be the game of the group. As it is one of the earlier groups, the teams haven't got to wait around watching other teams play too much before kicking off their tournament. Here’s the full breakdown of Group C fixtures:
- 13 June, 11pm - Brazil vs Morocco - New York/New Jersey Stadium
- 15 June, 2am - Haiti vs Scotland - Boston Stadium
- 19 June, 11pm - Scotland vs Morocco - Boston Stadium
- 20 June, 1:30am - Brazil vs Haiti - Philadelphia Stadium

Group C Betting Tips
Since drawing with Sweden in 1978, Brazil have failed to win their World Cup opener just once. Their recent squad announcement has raised a few eyebrows, with Joao Pedro missing out in favour of Neymar.
First time out could be the right time to play them this year, and a win for Morocco would make a major statement. You can back Morocco to win Group C at 6/1 with QuinnBet, which looks to be a bit of value since they’re currently about 4/1 to win the match when they meet to open proceedings in the group.
