We’ve reached the end of the 2022 NFL season. We’ve already endured the usual coaching carousel, and we can now look forward to the game of musical chairs that is NFL free agency. One of the biggest talking points of the offseason is sure to be Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers has flirted with retirement in recent times, potentially eyeing up a role as a quiz show host. Trade rumors have also been following Rodgers of late, with the three-time MVP sure to be in high demand for teams that are a quarterback away from launching a serious bid for Super Bowl XVIII – or at least believe they are.

Whether Rodgers decides to stay in Green Bay or leave for pastures new is sure to have a big impact on the Super Bowl odds found on NFL betting apps. Here are the latest odds for Aaron Rodgers’ next team:

Las Vegas Raiders (-300)

Rodgers to the Las Vegas Raiders makes too much sense for it not to be the odds-on favorite. He’d be reunited with former Packers receiver Davante Adams, as well as getting serious weapons in the form of tight end Darren Waller, wide receiver Hunter Renfrow and there’s a strong running game to fall back on too.

Derek Carr is now a free agent having been released earlier this week, meaning they are a team in need at the position. After a disappointing 6-11 season, getting Rodgers in at quarterback would get the fans onside and would surely lead to an uptick in performance.

New York Jets (+200)

The New York Jets are lucky to have such a strong, passionate fanbase. Unfortunately, that can mean things turn pretty sour in a hurry if they aren’t going well. They found themselves at 7-4 through 11 games last season, and in the playoff hunt. A six-game losing streak to end the season saw those hopes go up in smoke, though.

It’s safe to say the Zach Wilson experiment hasn’t paid off for Gang Green, and with a host of talented young receivers, a marquee name like Aaron Rodgers would be a huge acquisition.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+1400)

How do you fill the hole left by the retirement of the GOAT? Signing another quarterback who’s widely regarded as one of the best wouldn’t be the worst approach. The fact that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers limped to an 8-9 record last season, which somehow was enough to win the NFC South, could be a sign that the Super Bowl LV champions could be on their way to a rebuilding project.

Whether that’s something Rodgers would be keen on at this stage of his career, only he can say for sure, but the Bucs look unlikely to be his next team.

Other Teams That Could Trade for Rodgers

Next in the betting is the San Francisco 49ers at +1600. This would be the stuff of fairytales, but with Trey Lance expected to be back from injury and “Mr Irrelevant” Brock Purdy showing he’s capable of being a reliable NFL quarterback, don’t expect to find Rodgers in the Bay Area next season.

Other teams near the top of the betting odds at USA sports betting sites include the New England Patriots (+2000), Tennessee Titans (+2000), Carolina Panthers (+2500) and Indianapolis Colts (+2500). Aaron Rodgers would surely make these teams much better in the 2023 season, but they all seem unlikely destinations.

Rodgers’ decision to stay, leave or indeed retire is sure to shake up odds at NFL betting sites. Everything appears to be in place for him moving to the desert to replace Derek Carr in Las Vegas if he does decide to leave Green Bay. Either way, we’re sure to be in for an offseason of rumor and speculation.
