The 32nd chapter of the Premier League draws ever closer and pre-season is well under way for many of the 20 clubs. Manchester City will begin as favourites once again with the leading UK betting sites after winning their third successive title last season, which saw Pep Guardiola's side complete an historic treble.

Three teams are under new management with Andoni Iraola, Mauricio Pochettino and Ange Postecoglou all looking to make an immediate impact in charge of Bournemouth, Chelsea and Tottenham, respectively.

As is now a tradition, the majority of Premier League clubs have organised overseas pre-season tours to accommodate sponsor requests. But it's also a chance for the squad of players to go away, train in testing conditions that will be warmer than at home and bond as a group.

This summer, the Premier League has organised a Summer Series in the States, which will see six clubs play a total of nine games in a number of different cities up and down the country. Other clubs not involved in the Summer Series, are headed to the States to play a number of exhibition games including Manchester United and Arsenal, who between them have 16 Premier League titles.

Other clubs will travel in the opposite direction to fulfil fixtures in Asia and Oceania, some will visit Europe, while one team will remain in England for their pre-season. In total, Premier League clubs will travel close to 170,000 air miles this summer.

So, which Premier League team is scheduled to travel the most miles this pre-season, and could it have an impact on the start they make? Bookies.com has analysed the itineraries of each Premier League club to see who will rack up the most air miles this summer.

Plenty Of Bonding Time For Spurs' New Boss

Tottenham were one of three teams to appoint a new manager in the offseason. After Antonio Conte left the club in late March, Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason were in charge of the final 10 games, which yielded just three wins.

Ange Postecoglou was persuaded to leave Celtic, who claimed a domestic treble last season to win the Scottish League, League Cup and Scottish Cup. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy's record in appointing managers has not been great in recent times, but after winning five trophies in his two seasons in charge of Celtic, Levy hopes the Australian can be the man to end Tottenham's 15-year drought to win a trophy and return the club back to the Champions League.

As luck would have it, Tottenham had already planned a trip to Australia before they named Postecoglou as their new manager. Spurs will travel approximately 19,921 air miles - which is more than any other Premier League team - by playing games against West Ham in Perth, Leicester in Bangkok and former manager Jose Mourinho's Roma in Singapore. Postecoglou will hope star striker Harry Kane is on the plane for that trip.

Next on the list is West Ham, who will travel 19,122 miles during their pre-season. Last season's Europa Conference League winners will also travel to Australia to play local side Perth Glory, as well as their friendly with Tottenham. On top of that, they head to France to play Rennes and end their pre-season with a game against Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.

Manchester United complete the top three with 15,483 miles covered this summer. Erik ten Hag's side have organised trips to Norway, Scotland, the United States and Ireland to play a total of seven games, including one in San Diego against Wrexham, the club owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney which has just won promotion to the Football League.

United, who are in the process of being sold, have added midfielder Mason Mount to their squad, and they continue to be linked to a number of new signings including Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana after deciding not to keep David De Gea. Ten Hag will need to strengthen his squad ahead of what he hopes will be a successful Champions League campaign.

Luton Should Be Fresh For Historic Campaign

Luton Town are planning for their first season in the Premier League after winning promotion by beating Coventry in the Championship playoff final at Wembley in May. Few betting sites are giving them a chance of avoiding relegation back to the second tier.

Whether it's through choice or financial restraints, the Hatters will be spending their summer at home, unless they arrange a short trip abroad somewhere in the coming weeks. Because of renovation work being done at their Kenilworth Road ground, any friendlies will be played on the road. The club have also had to postpone their first home game of the season against Burnley.

The club announced they will play Ipswich at nearby Colchester's ground. Luton have one of the more 'favourable' starts to the season. Based on last season's finishing positions, the newly-promoted side have the fifth-easiest schedule over the first six games. Other than Brighton on the opening day, Luton don't face a side that finished ninth or higher last season until matchday eight, when they host Tottenham. Despite this, Luton manager Rob Edwards is already among the favourites to be the next manager sacked in the Premier League.

Burnley, who won last season's Championship to be the first promoted side to the Premier League, are also keeping their air miles low on their return to the top flight. Vincent Kompany's side will host the season opener against none other than the defending champions Manchester City.

The schedule-makers couldn't resist pitting Kompany against his former club to open the season. Kompany was a key component of four City sides to win the Premier League trophy during his time at the Etihad. Burnley, amongst the early favourites to be relegated, will travel to Belgium to face Genk.

Sean Dyche will start the new season in charge of Everton after guiding them to safety last season. It was the second season in a row that the Toffees were involved in a relegation battle. With a new stadium being built, money will be scarce to bring new signings in to strengthen his team.

A lack of money might be a reason why Everton have limited their travels to just one game abroad in Switzerland, where they will play FC Stade Nyonnais. Dyche will hope his squad will be fresh from a lack of travel when they line up against Fulham at Goodison Park on 12 August.
