Premier League Top Scorer Odds 2025/26

Haaland looks most likely to top the Premier League scoring charts this season, but there's plenty of competition for him, based on the odds available at top UK betting sites. Igor Thiago got a double at the weekend for Brentford to move him to within one goal, so it could be an exciting end to the season.

Can Anyone Stop Haaland Topping the Scoring Charts?

Betting apps are offering odds-against prices that Erling Haaland finishes top scorer in the Premier League this season. However, those odds are not as slim as they were before last season.

Mo Salah was expected to give Haaland most to think about this season. The Egyptian has topped the Premier League scoring charts twice in the last four seasons and was seen as Haaland's main market rival preseason. However, he has looked a shadow of his former self for large parts of the season and may not even reach double figures let alone the 25+ required to win the Golden Boot.

Arsenal's Viktor Gyokeres, would have been hoping to continue his stunning goalscoring form in the Premier League. The Swede bagged 39 league goals in Portugal last season. However, he has flattered to deceive so far with 12 strikes to his name.

In a surprising turn, it is Brentford's Igor Thiago who is Haaland's closest challenger. The Brazilian scored 11 in the Bees' first 13 games this season and although he's not matched that strike rate, he's still added another 10 since then to pull up right behind Haaland in the charts.

Goals Have Dried Up for Haaland

Erling Haaland finished last season with a goal on the final day and carried that form into preseason. From the final day of the 2024/25 season, he managed five goals in six goals for club and country, including three goals in four appearances at the Club World Cup.

He looked unstoppable at the start of this season, too, with 14 goals in his first 11 games and had 19 by Christmas, but the juice quickly ran out for the City striker and his three strikes in 2026 show how much he's struggled in the final third this year.

Who Are the Best Each-Way Bets for Top Scorer?

Football betting sites are offering 1/4 the odds for four places on Premier League Top Goalscorer bets before the season starts.

Cole Palmer was a popular each-way selection, with odds of 20/1 available at most sites on our list of betting sites before the season started. Palmer's form tailed off a little last season as he finished with 15 goals, with only three of those coming in 2025. The season before, he was second behind Haaland with 22 goals.

Being the set-piece taker for a team that's expected to outperform last season could have Palmer perfectly positioned for plenty of goals.

Man United fans may have been tempted by the 66/1 on offer for Bryan Mbeumo. The Cameroonian managed 20 goals for Brentford last season, and has impressed with his performances, without troubling the top of the standings. Danny Welbeck will have been a pretty big price preseason as he is joint-fifth top scorer in the league this season.
