Tammy Abraham's Chelsea future has been in doubt since German boss Thomas Tuchel was hired last January and betting sites are offering odds on a potential move away from Stamford Bridge.

The 23-year-old made his breakthrough at the club under Frank Lampard in the 2019/20 Premier League season following a successful loan spell at Aston Villa.

He enjoyed his best form under Lampard's tutelage but fell out of favour following Tuchel's arrival, as the former PSG and Borussia Dortmund manager led Chelsea to Champions League glory and a fourth-place Premier League finish.

Tuchel is likely to continue to favour compatriot Timo Werner ahead of Abraham in the Chelsea attack, but may want him to stick around and provide competition for the No.9 role.

If Abraham is allowed to leave it appears he has plenty of potential suitors in the top flight of English football.

London Rivals Arsenal Could Swoop

Arsenal are believed to be in the mix for Abraham's signature, with Alexandre Lacazette expected to leave the Emirates during this summer transfer window.

Chelsea have reportedly set an asking price of £40million for the Englishman and that could put off their London rivals. A loan move with a view to a permanent deal may be more attractive to The Gunners.

Arsenal are priced at 11/10 with Unibet to sign Abraham before the window closes on August 31.

Abraham was a boyhood fan of The Gunners, so he may push for a move to North London if he feels playing time will be hard to come by at Chelsea this season.

Aston Villa in the Mix

Aston Villa fans have fond memories of Abraham from the 2018/19 Championship season, when he scored 26 goals in 40 games to help them secure promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs.

Villa boss Dean Smith was in charge for that campaign and may well be keen to link up with Abraham again next season.

Unibet make it 3/1 for Abraham to be wearing the claret and blue at Villa Park once the window has shut.

Will Abraham Stay Put?

Chelsea are currently the betting favourites to retain Abraham's services beyond the summer, despite Tuchel's reluctance to play him last season.

But a lot is likely to depend on whether Roman Abramovich opens the chequebook for another superstar striker before the window closes.

Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland and Inter Milan's Romelu Lukaku have both been linked with Chelsea, and if a marquee signing like that does arrive, it could spell the end for Abraham at Stamford Bridge.

Former Chelsea striker Tore Andre Flo has been convinced of Abraham's ability since his academy days at Stamford Bridge and thinks he will be a success whether he stays at Chelsea beyond the summer or not.

He told Bookies.com: “I have followed Tammy since he was a young player at the academy. He’s a very, very good talent.

“It would be a shame to see him go from Chelsea but at the same time, you can only have so many strikers, so if there are more coming in it could be very difficult for him to be playing regularly, which we already saw last season.

“So it depends on a few things but he’s a really good player, one who I’ve been following for years and he’s still young, he can always become better.

“Playing time is so important, especially with the young players to continue their development.”

Other Potential Suitors

West Ham seem keen to add another striker to their ranks this summer following the departure of Sebastien Haller last January, as they prepare to juggle the Europa League with domestic competitions. Abraham is priced at 4/1 to join David Moyes' side.

Betting apps aren't ruling out a move to Manchester United or Leicester City either, with the sides who finished second and fifth respectively in the Premier League last season both 11/1 to sign the forward.

Rafael Benitez's Everton could also be in the mix and bookmakers are also offering 20/1 odds on a surprise move to Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga.
