Bookies are siding heavily with Tyson Fury should a blockbuster fight with Anthony Joshua take place in 2021.
Although much still stands in the way of a fight to become undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, Fury – the WBC champion – is the 1/2 favourite with several leading online bookmakers.
That makes Joshua – the IBF, WBA and WBO champion – a 6/4 underdog, while a draw is available to back from anything between 22/1 and 28/1.
However, the two fighters are already contracted to their next respective fights. Joshua is due to fight mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev, a challenge he is expected to overcome as 1/9 favourite.
Fury’s contract obligation would appear to be a much tougher assignment, the small matter of a third fight with Deontay Wilder, who he dethroned by technical knock-out in the seventh round in their February re-match.
Their re-match contract had a clause entitling a beaten opponent to a third fight, which Wilder has declared he intends to utilize. However, having performed so convincingly in their second fight after the pair originally settled for a draw, Fury is a best price of 2/7 to win a third fight with Wilder.

Fury vs Joshua Talks Underway
Talks are already being held over a pathway to putting together the biggest fight in boxing, Fury, vs Joshua, in what would be the first time four heavyweight belts are on the line between two British opponents.
"It's not a difficult fight to make,” Fury’s UK promoter Frank Warren told Sky Sports, who has been in talks with Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing.
“Whatever is on the table is 50-50. Fury is the No. 1 heavyweight but we don't say 60-40. 50-50, down the middle.
"Once we get the offer that we're supposed to be getting, we'll be in a position to sit around the table and knock it into shape. It's not about me or Matchroom. It's about getting this fight made.
"If we can't make this happen between us, then we've got to point the finger at whoever doesn't make it happen."
According to the bookies, Wilder has a 3/1 chance of throwing the Fury-Joshua fight off course by beating ‘The Gypsy King’ next time around, while Pulev is a best-price of 7/1 to hand Joshua a second career defeat.
