It’s that time of year again when the New South Wales Blues get ready to take on the Queensland Maroons in the State of Origin in the third game of the series, but for the first time in a little while there is plenty on the line in this one. The best NRL betting sites in Australia will have all the coverage you need. The Maroons took Game 1 at Stadium Australia in Sydney after an early red card made it hard work for the Blues, but New South Wales came storming back in the second game to level it up.

Billy Slater had a 100 percent record as the Maroons head coach before last week, and the odds at most Australian betting sites think it could be his charges who will be lifting the trophy once again. Here at Bookies.com, we will have all the best betting sites to use for the whole series, as well as a primer on the markets you can wager on and how to place one on the State of Origin series.

Unibet  is another NRL betting favourite for people all over the world, and you can bet on the correct score of the series among plenty of pre-match markets. The correct score is an interesting market, as it has finished 2-1 in every series since 2011 and all but one since 2003. There could have been some great value on a the Blues winning the series 2-1 before their win in Game 2. If you’re wanting to get involved in a different sort of betting in the form of exchanging wagering, then Betfair betting site will provide all the markets you could want.

State of Origin Game 3 Odds

As the Maroons have won the last two series and 14 of the previous 18, and they now play at home for the decider, it is no wonder some betting sites have them as very slight favourites for Game 3 and the series as a whole. But anything can happen in the series, here are the latest odds on Game 3 with PlayUp :

  • 🏉 New South Wales Blues - 1.90
  • 🏉 Queensland Maroons - 1.90

State of Origin Wally Lewis Medal Odds

The Wally Lewis Medal is given out to the player of the series, and there are a number of contenders. We haven’t had a repeat winner since Cameron Smith won it for the fourth time in 2016. James Tedesco won it for the Blues in 2019, while last year’s victory Reuben Cotter is also one of the dark horses this year. Find the latest odds on who could win it this around:

PlayerOdds of Wally Lewis Medal
Dale Cherry-Evans (Queensland) 2.60 with Unibet
Mitchell Moses (New South Wales) 5.00 with Unibet
Angus Crichton (Queensland) 8.50 with Unibet
Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow (Queensland) 11.00 with Unibet
Zac Lomas (New South Wales) 11.00 with Unibet
Payne Haas (New South Wales) 11.00 with Unibet
Patrick Carrigan (Queensland) 13.00 with Unibet

State of Origin Betting Tip

There has been a theme of this series finishing 2-1 in much of the history of the 40+ year series. In all but one of the last 20 series, it has been 2-1 one way or the other, so it would make sense to look for another 2-1 finish. The Maroons have been dominant in the series overall, but with the Blues having so brilliantly won Game 2, perhaps a 2-1 Blues win is the way to go. Bet on the Blues to win the series 2-1 at 2.00 with bet365.
