Both teams are already bowl-bound. Army (6-5) heads to Boston in two weeks to face UConn in the Fenway Bowl. Navy travels to the Liberty Bowl in Memphis to meet Cincinnati. What To Expect While Watching Army-Navy
Navy QB Blake Horvath drives the Midshipmen offense with a legitimate passing threat and enough quickness to keep defenses honest. Navy ended the regular season ranked in the Top 25 and even flirted with a possible “Group of 5” path to the College Football Playoff. Their final 9-2 record fell short of the Committee’s criteria, but Navy remains one of the highest-profile non-power programs in the country.
Navy joins Tulane and North Texas in the final AP Top 25 as representatives from the American Conference. All three teams finished in a three-way tie atop the league. Tulane earned the CFP Committee’s lone ranking, while North Texas beat Navy head-to-head – a testament to the overall strength of Navy’s schedule.

Army averages 22.8 points per game, more than many traditionally expect from the Cadets’ offense. If Army can move the ball and generate a couple of explosive plays against Navy’s defense, this matchup could offer more scoring than usual.
Offense should not be an issue for Navy. Horvath brings a high-tempo rhythm that forces opposing defenses to chase all game. Expect Navy to control the clock, extend drives, and try to neutralize Army’s ground attack. Army’s defenders will need to lean into all that P.T., because they’ll be running from whistle to whistle.
